I highly recommend this collar, not for a leash but for tags only. I have a one year old (Apr. 26th), 73lb. pitty mix and this is the third time I’m buying this collar. I bought the first one to replace her whelping collar when she outgrew it at three months old. I bought the second when she outgrew the first at five months old. She was just about ready for the next size when the buckle broke while my daughter was roughhousing with her. It lasted 7 months. I’m not concerned about it breaking because I never attach a leash to this collar. She’s way too powerful! I use it solely to hold her ID tags. I usually wash it by hand when she has a bath and it cleans up nice. I last washed it April 2nd and I decided to do an Oxi soak. It came out as great as I expected but maybe the buckle didn’t like being submerged in an Oxi solution for an hour plus. I won’t soak the new one so I can see how long it will last without doing anything to compromise it’s integrity 😉

I have a dog who, when she plays, likes to pull on my other dog’s collar! She always managed to snap off the collars that had the plastic clasps and they’d go missing in my yard! This one she can’t undo, and it’s cute!
