We needed to buy 3 beds for our kids, and didn’t want to spend a ton of money. So we went with these metal beds for our 4 & 9 year old girls who are sharing a room. 1) they’re really pretty, especially if you paint them (the paint will cover the silver metal bolts on the footboard) 2) my husband put them together and he said there were lots of parts, so just be prepared. 3) one of the beds came scraped up and bent on the footboard arch. We had to use pliers and metal tools to bend the metal back in place, which in turn scraped up the white paint even more than it already was. Because we are surprising our kids with this bedroom overhaul, we did not have time to wait for another shipment and return the damaged bed. So we have to just live with it, but the spray paint covered all of the scratches. It’s just a little dinged up now. The frame itself is very sold and it was fairly easy to assemble but it's so short. My pillows cover the headboard which almost defeats the purpose of have a headboard.

The frame looks nice and is fairly sturdy. I like that it doesn’t take up a lot of extra space. It is very creaky, and squeaky though. I barely move and it makes a lot of noise. Can be annoying when trying to get sleep.

I've been sleeping on this bed for about a month now, and on the whole, it really is a great bed. It was super easy to assemble (mind you I'm a stubborn woman, full of queer spite, and pretty good at Ikea builds), on my own it only took about 30 minutes. It looks great - even the hidden support legs are powder coated- and it has a nice vintage vibe without screaming it in your face. It also is very sturdy - I'm a thick girl (about 230lbs) who thrashes like a shark in her sleep and it's as secure as the day I built it. The only con is, as others have said, she be squeakin'. I think it's inevitable with the metal on metal, and I honestly don't mind - it's not loud, just a little noisy every now and then - and if it really bugs you I'm sure foam or felt washers and some WD40 would shut it right up. For this price you're not going to find a better bed - believe me I scoured the net - just buy it, you won't be sorry! ... show more

I am impressed with how sturdy this frame is. It was a little difficult to assemble, all parts were there and the instructions weren’t the best translation. Other than these minor problems I love the way it looks.
