Description

The C10RJS 10" jobsite table saw features a 15-Amp motor with 4,500 RPMs, and is engineered for rip-sawing and cross-cutting of ordinary wood, hardwood, plywood and composite wood materials. The fold & roll stand is designed with sturdy legs for easy set up and breakdown, providing stability while in use. The stand also incorporates wheels to ensure the user can maneuver through tough terrain with ease. The C10RJS features soft start, an electric brake and a large working table size with telescoping table extension that can support a max rip capacity of 35" to the right. Capable of a 3-1/8" cut at 90 degrees and 2-1/4" cut at 45 degrees, this user-friendly table saw is an ideal choice for any workshop or jobsite.

The saw was delivered with a broken part. The back fence rail pinion housing is broken. The box shows no damage, and the saw was nicely packed. I contacted HPT through their web site. Haven't heard back, thier customer service hours are such that it's not likely i will hear anything until next week. The pinion housing is plastic. The easiest fix would be to send another one out. The hardest fix would be me disassembling the saw, repacking it and sending it back. Giving this two stars for now. Ok, five stars to Amazon for replacing the saw....zero stars to HPT because of substandard/nonexistant customer service. HPT not only does not carry replacement parts for thier own saws, they actually recommended that I check around and see if i could find, and purchase, my own replacement parts. They even included a link to search for repairs and parts . Beyond belief. The reasons I am staying with the HPT saw vs the Dewalt are price #1, and #2, I am a highly skilled machinist, and I can make or fix every part on the saw. So, if you can't make your own parts go Dewalt! Saw #2 delivered in great shape. No broken parts, no missing parts. Assembly was a snap, having already assembled and disassembled the first saw. It cuts like a champ, the accuracy out of the box is excellent. Repeatedly ripped pine to better than .005" +- width. Put a 1-1/4 thick oak board on and ripped it. Did not bog down. Again, five stars to Amazon. Zero stars to HPT warranty department. IMHO spare parts should actually be available. ... show more

This table saw is available on Amazon for a much better price than what I can find locally. Even though there are many reviews expressing concern with receiving the product damaged, I moved forward with the purchase anyway. The box arrived slightly compressed on the bottom but looked okay otherwise. After I put the saw together, sure enough there was damage to one of the rail locks and the adjusting knob for the fence, making it unusable. I followed the resolution process on Amazon and first called Metabo. When I finally got through to someone, the first question asked was "where did you buy the saw from?". I said Amazon, and was immediately shut down. "Since we did not ship the product, we will not address concerns with damage. You need to return the saw to Amazon". I said, "I just built this saw, and all I need are a couple of plastic pieces and I'm good to go". Nope. So I called Amazon, and was speaking with a rep within a minute. After detailing what Metabo told me, he gave me the choice of returning or replacing the saw, or even reimbursing me for the cost of replacement parts. So, I called the local home improvement store who stocks this saw to see if they would price match Amazon. Yes, they would, so I bought the saw from them. To sum up, Metabo packages this 100 lb. saw with very little protection in a cardboard box that is not nearly sturdy enough to survive common carrier shipping. Why Metabo would distribute this saw through Amazon and then not take care of their Amazon customers is absolutely beyond my comprehension. So my advice is to see if you can get this price matched locally. Five stars to Amazon for offering solutions to address the very poor customer service from Metabo. Now I have to take apart this saw and attempt to repackage it Tetris style in a damaged box for pickup. ... show more

I bought this saw for woodworking projects because I don't have a shop so all my tools have to be portable, accurate and easy to set up. I have used it extensively. I've moved it more than 50 times and made thousands of cuts. I check the set up accuracy everytime I use it and I've only had to change settings once since I got it! I only used the original blade for about a week but after replacing the blade nothing has slowed it down. The miter Guage is horrible (inaccurate and there's 1/16" slop in the slots) but that's to be expected, even with saws that are 10 times the cost of this one! Build or buy a good cross cut sled and/or buy a good miter guage. ... show more

Style: Metabo HPT C10RJS Table Saw
Mine arrived undamaged, unlike the experience of some reviewers. Setup was pretty easy, about 30 minutes, mostly putting the stand together. The blade was parallel to the fence and the miter track. The blade tilt was right on at 90 degrees and 45 degrees. The blade brake when shutting it off is nice, it takes about 2 seconds to stop completely. The fence is stable enough - not exactly rock solid, but if you're not straining on anything it will stay straight. Feels like plenty of power in the motor, no strain when I ripped some 2.5 inch fir. It could have handled harder wood. The stand is stable and sturdy, and easy enough to put up and down. Only real weaknesses: some reviews have mentioned that the miter gauge included with the saw is a cut above the norm, possibly because it has pre-set stops at the common angles. Possibly, but it is still literally garbage; I threw mine out and bought a Kreg. However, it's still not perfect because the track is not quite 100% consistent in width. I adjusted the bar on the Kreg as well as I could, but there are some minor pinch points in the track where I need to push a little harder, so a bit of jerky motion down the track. All in all, it's really good for $450. Would an Oliver or a DeWalt have a better miter track? Maybe. But for the extra $200+, I bought my Kreg gauge and have some left over. I'll try to file out the pinch points in the track. If I can't improve it I'll deal with it, and that's OK. ... show more

My power tools are almost exclusively Metabo. I've had nothing but great luck and been a huge fan of Hitachi/Metabo for 25+ years. The negative reviews almost made me not order this saw, but I'm glad I went with my gut. This saw is awesome. The compact design makes everything super convenient and it's high quality. Everything was dead on right out of the box. I'm not sure what the complaints were about but it makes me think those people must not know much about tools. You can't compare a worksite saw to a cabinet shop table saw its an unfair comparison. If you lack space to set up a permanent shop like me this table saw is the answer to your prayers.
