  • Best saw yet.
Style: Metabo HPT C10RJS Table Saw
You can adjust everything on this saw. Sturdy, strong motor, easy to assemble the fe parts. One small knob was missing. Only small issue is changing blades-very little room to remove nut. I dropped it twice down the dust tube and retrieved it via back of the saw. The extended rip length is amazing and so easy to move fence. Haven't tried the dado yet. It's so nice to move it out to the driveway, cut and rip, then 30 seconds to fold it up and store it. I do fine cabinet and project work along with some construction so this is perfect and should last. Don't believe the YouTube video where one guy has trouble adjusting....read the instructions! The riving knife is slightly off center but easily pushed to align the slight 1/32-1/16" off. Very happy so far. ... show more

  • Delivered broken.....five stars to Amazon....zero stars to HPT
Style: Metabo HPT C10RJS Table Saw
The saw was delivered with a broken part. The back fence rail pinion housing is broken. The box shows no damage, and the saw was nicely packed. I contacted HPT through their web site. Haven't heard back, thier customer service hours are such that it's not likely i will hear anything until next week. The pinion housing is plastic. The easiest fix would be to send another one out. The hardest fix would be me disassembling the saw, repacking it and sending it back. Giving this two stars for now. Ok, five stars to Amazon for replacing the saw....zero stars to HPT because of substandard/nonexistant customer service. HPT not only does not carry replacement parts for thier own saws, they actually recommended that I check around and see if i could find, and purchase, my own replacement parts. They even included a link to search for repairs and parts . Beyond belief. The reasons I am staying with the HPT saw vs the Dewalt are price #1, and #2, I am a highly skilled machinist, and I can make or fix every part on the saw. So, if you can't make your own parts go Dewalt! Saw #2 delivered in great shape. No broken parts, no missing parts. Assembly was a snap, having already assembled and disassembled the first saw. It cuts like a champ, the accuracy out of the box is excellent. Repeatedly ripped pine to better than .005" +- width. Put a 1-1/4 thick oak board on and ripped it. Did not bog down. Again, five stars to Amazon. Zero stars to HPT warranty department. IMHO spare parts should actually be available. ... show more

  • Great Potential, Received a defective saw
Style: Metabo HPT C10RJS Table Saw
I had high hopes for this table saw and may try another one, but only if I buy it from a local store so the return process will be easier if I get another defective model. Setup was easy. The table was not as flat as I would have liked yet it was usable. The blade was parallel to the miter slots and everything else was tunable. The defect in my saw was a rhythmic shudder in the motor unit. Every 3 or 4 seconds there would be a shudder that would cause the blade, the riving knife, and blade housing to shake. The shudder was hard enough that could be heard from 50 feet away. When I would remove the blade the saw ran perfectly smooth. So smooth I could stand a nickel on its edge while the saw was running. This shudder was even evident with a brand new Diablo 50T Combo Blade. It was a little less yet still very noticeable. A shudder that is produced just by the load of a free spinning blade is very bad for a brand new saw and would only get worse with use so I returned the saw. There was another defect/assembly error that I was able to fix. The motor would stick when trying to lower the blade. After close examination it became evident that the back guide rod for raising and lowering the blade was not parallel to the front guide rode and the the threaded rod that raises and lowers the blade. I loosened the lower screw that holds the back guide rod in place and then completely lowered the blade. Next I tightened the screw and that fixed the binding problem. I believe this saw has potential yet I also believe corners seem to be cut and QC takes a hit to get to the price point it sells at. I have been doing woodworking for decades and am willing to fine tune equipment and make modifications if necessary when the critical parts of the equipment are sound. That was just not the case with this saw. ... show more

  • A terrific saw at the $400 sale price but delivered damaged, missing parts
Style: Metabo HPT C10RJS Table Saw
I have wanted this Metabo/Hitachi saw for a while. If you look at the online reviews, you can see it's an excellent saw with an included cart/stand. It's a heavy saw, so you really want a wheeled stand for it. The saw went on sale last year for less than $350 and I missed it. Normally, this is a $600 saw. When Amazon put it on sale for $400, I purchased it. It's rugged, well built, and I like the rack and pinion fence guides. A few Amazon reviewers note that they received the saw damaged. The main problem is the plastic rack-and-pinion gear mount, which seems to beak in shipping for some people. My saw did not arrive with that part broken, to my relief, but you could see that the box was worse for wear. One corner was torn nearly completely off. This is a 100 pound item and I don't think UPS cares that it's supposed to be handled by two people. I met the UPS truck with my own cart so the lone driver and I could both lift it off the truck. I made sure there was no mishandling on my end. I took the saw into the garage and assembled it. It's not hard to assemble. However, the rip fence didn't move easily as it approached the saw blade. This would be a problem for small cuts because it would be hard to dial in the right measurement. Investigation showed that the aluminum guide rail on one side had been severely deformed by an impact. Probably the same impact that ripped the corner off the shipping box. I didn't like the idea of returning a 100-pound item to Amazon so I worked on bending the end of the guide rail back into place. It took me a day, but the fence now moves freely. In addition, the two knobs for locking the auxiliary outfeed fence were missing, so that was an extra 10 bucks to order a pack of assorted knobs from Amazon. You need two knobs with 6mm threaded studs. Some saws seem to have these knobs in the reviews and some do not. In all, I am happy to have the saw. I would have preferred to have an undamaged one with all the parts. One last hint: the miter attachment clips behind the power cord. It's hard to see the location and the attachment is not held firmly there, so I expect it won't live there much on my saw. ... show more

  • It works great.
Style: Metabo HPT C10RJS Table Saw
I had an old table saw that the motor quit. It had some other issues so I decided to invest in a new one. I had a Metabo miter saw that I liked really well so I thought I’d try their table saw and I’m not sorry. It works great.

  • Sturdy, stable stand
Style: Metabo HPT C10RJS Table Saw
I’ve had the saw for one year. Unlike others arrived in perfect condition. I paid $450.00 at the time which was during Black Friday sale. Now that seems to be the going price regardless. I’m happy with the saw overall. I’m a DYIer and definitely adequate for my needs. The fence adjustment is smooth and the fence locks tight. The miter gauge is junk as I expected, but unless you are spending big money on a cabinet saw it is the same with all job site saws. I have a miter saw for cross cutting. The rip capacity is outstanding and you can easily break down sheet goods. The soft start and blade braking are nice features to have. My old Craftsman would spin for at least 30 seconds after turning off. I don’t travel with the saw and only move it a few feet outside my garage. So I have never used the wheels. I just carry it by the table which has hand holds. Power wise it is definitely under powered. I don’t typically cut hardwood so for me isn’t too big of an issue. I feed wood slowly and let the motor keep pace regardless. I think an over looked feature is the outfeed support. I wish it extended further but it is still a help. The one issue I have (see video) is the lock on the throat plate that sits proud of the table. Was an easy fix. I would recommend the saw especially at the current price. ... show more

This saw gets good marks, but just be aware that the manufacturers packaging leaves the knobs and rip fence vulnerable to damage in transit. I ordered one and it was in bad shape so I returned it. Second saw was not so bad but when I opened the box, noticed the fence knob broken and pinion axle was bent. Sent it back too. I’ll get it at the local big box. ... show more

  • Great saw! Great price!
Style: Metabo HPT C10RJS Table Saw
I bought this saw for woodworking projects because I don't have a shop so all my tools have to be portable, accurate and easy to set up. I have used it extensively. I've moved it more than 50 times and made thousands of cuts. I check the set up accuracy everytime I use it and I've only had to change settings once since I got it! I only used the original blade for about a week but after replacing the blade nothing has slowed it down. The miter Guage is horrible (inaccurate and there's 1/16" slop in the slots) but that's to be expected, even with saws that are 10 times the cost of this one! Build or buy a good cross cut sled and/or buy a good miter guage. ... show more
