HUGE CAVEAT: If you have a well functioning quest 2, not worth the investment as of right now (unless you want to see more avatars/worlds on VRchat). Even though it can tell where objects are exactly. But in spite of this The system is exactly the same as the quest 2. The only difference is that you can get an automatically set up instead of manual. There are other small improvements but not enough to justify replacing your perfectly working headset. Only pick this if you don't already have a quest or your original quest is out of commission. IF YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE A QUEST AND YOU'RE THINKING OF BUYING ONE: It's cheap, it's portable, tons of free and paid options for games, good headset. Only problem is you're going to have to make a Facebook account and all the privacy issues that come with it. As for this specific listing, I got a pristine headset with no noticeable issues.

I like it. But I only gave it four stars because it is pretty blurry and before you say that I need to adjust the heads strap or wipe the lenses down or any of the other things that you have to do just know that I’ve already done all of those things prior to writing this review. I’ve heard that the newer one actually fixes this problem and you can actually read things with the VR headset on, but with this one, you cannot read anything in front of you like you will not be able to read a text message on your phone while having this thing on so if that’s a big issue for you, I would suggest just going with the newer one, but other than that, it’s fun. I wish I just bought the newer one to be honest though.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this purchase has been deeply disappointing and frustrating. I bought the refurbished Meta Quest 3 expecting it to function like a reliable, professionally restored device—but that has not been the case. Terrible Battery Life: The headset can’t stay powered for more than 15–20 minutes without needing to be plugged into a charger. This makes it essentially unusable as a wireless VR device, completely defeating the purpose. Overheating Issues: Within a minute of launching any app or experience, the device gets noticeably hot—especially around the facial interface and side vents. This raises serious concerns about the quality of the refurbishment and the device's long-term safety. Return Policy is Misleading: One of the main reasons I felt comfortable buying this refurbished product was the prominently advertised “365-day return policy.” However, when I attempted to return the device, Amazon refused the request, stating that the item is ineligible. This is incredibly misleading and feels like false advertising. In short, I regret purchasing this refurbished Meta Quest 3. Between the hardware problems and Amazon’s refusal to honor their stated return policy, this has been a waste of time and money. I strongly advise others to avoid this listing and consider buying new or from a more reliable source.
