I've bought more "comfy" facial interfaces than I’d like to admit, and for the longest time, I avoided the open-style designs—big mistake! After using my Quest 3 for over a year, I can’t believe I waited this long to try one. This is hands down the most comfortable interface I’ve worn. No more overheating or getting ridiculously sweaty during AR/VR workouts. What really surprised me is that it still maintains immersion incredibly well. I’ve found myself even more lost in games like Racket Club and Supernatural because my peripheral vision blends seamlessly with my real-world surroundings. It almost feels like I’m just wearing glasses. Even in full VR experiences, I’m so dialed in that the open sides don’t bother me—if anything, I appreciate that my face can finally breathe.     • This is by far the most comfortable interface I've ever used and is so much cooler.
I wasn't expecting much when I pre-ordered this but man, I'm impressed. Because it doesn't have the strength of a full frame, what one might consider flexibility of this interface a bad thing, it actually allows for the cushion to contour to your face which reduces the rubbing and irritation to basically nothing and makes it super comfortable. The open sides will take a bit of getting used to, but it's worth it for the comfort and breathability. I sweat terribly and my cushions are always soaked. I played for 3 hours (clay hunt vr/walkabout golf) and normally my cushion would be waterlogged, with this interface, it was barely damp. I'm not going to pretend you don't lose any immersion because you do lose some, but it's not that noticeable once you get used to it. For the added comfort and cooling, it's well worth the trade off. I have 3 dogs and it's nice being able to look down and make sure they, or one of their bones, aren't by my feet. Time will tell how durable it is. I have no plans of swapping it with other interfaces because I like it so much. If you do, durability could possibly be a concern.     • Much better for gaming and MR as it doesn't get so hot with the headset on and is still immersive
I wasn't sure if I'd like this open facial interface at first, but after playing CyubeVR for a couple hours I absolutely love this interface over the stock one! It doesn't take away from the immersion at all and it helps you play longer because you don't get so hot like with the stock interface. I imagine it's going to be great for fitness games too! Unfortunately, you can't play next to a window though without curtains drawn or the light will come in and reflect on the lenses quite a lot. I will say that it is greatly overpriced for what it is. This should really be like $25-30. I don't use glasses while playing and I don't have RX lenses either, but I did have to use the thicker face pad it comes with it anyway because my lashes kept touching the lenses with thinner face pad that comes attached, so I'm glad it comes with two pads to choose from.     • Great for augmented reality, exercise, and using VR in public
I bought this initially for exercise. I sweat quite a lot and avoided exercise with my headset so that I don't damage anything internally within the headset. For that use case it's effective, but it also has a great use case for augmented reality, public use, and for small play spaces where you have to stay aware of where you are. I could also see this facial interface being great for developers who don't want to constantly take on and off their headset to see their keyboard and immediate surroundings. It'd be nice to have the fabric option available to Quest 3 users as well. The open design could cause sun damage to the VR screen so you have to have something to cover the lenses when not in use. For some reason I get motion sick when using this in VR mode. It throws off my brain having to keep track of the outside world and the VR world. ... show more

I've tried the AMVR FC1 which was alright but hot to wear unless you had air conditioning blowing in your face. This Open Facial Interface is a game changer for comfort and preventing smudgy lenses. Yes, its a little less immersive but I'd trade that smidgen of immersive for the comfort I got in exchange and ability to wear for hours seated or even lying down. ... show more

    • does NOT have the same adjustment as the default interface
It's great for its purpose which is to let air flow in and keep fog up and sweat from accumulating. It does let a ton of light in, so if you are in a well lit room or with windows it will hit the immersion pretty hard. If you are going to use it for exercise or with passthrough enabled you will either not care or it will be less noticeable. Alternatively if you are in a dark room you wont notice. It does NOT have the same adjustment as the default interface to allow for more clearance for glasses wearers so be aware, your lenses might rub and cause scratching. It does feel a bit flimsy and doesn't really snap in as well as the default interface the top locked in for me but the bottom just sorta hangs there. If they fixed these two issues it would be great, at this price though it's very niche. ... show more

    • Too expensive, but I do like it
I bought this open interface for VR exercise because of sweat and lens fog. I even made a little felt removable "cover" attached with velcro for games where I want full immersion without havin to swap the interface all the time and risk breaking the plastic tabs. You won't get me that way, Meta! Lol. Now that I'm used to the open interface, though, I don't find myself using the cover I made very often. My mind mostly ignores the open sides unless I intentionally focus on them to touch base with my surroundings (which is very useful). It serves the purpose very well of keeping me cooler when I'm doing exercise. I tried a silicone face shield and a microfiber face shield. Neither was comfortable or as effective for me as the open interfacce and good air flow. Obviously the price is ridiculous for what it is, but I didn't see any alternatives so I had to bite the bullet. ... show more

Great facial interface, cushion a little thin, but works for me. Felt much more airy, my skin can breathe. Pair it with mixed reality application, glancing for surrounding, felt more natural. Must have for Quest 3 user in my opinion, can always swap back to the stock interface for Virtual applications, but for California summer season, this is a must have. ... show more
