At this point I have not had the opportunity to try out the Unit. However, in trying to set up the Unit I encountered what I consider to be significant "Design Flaw'. The use of very small screws to access the battery compartments, in my opinion is a very poor service design. The Screw Driver provided is useless and when a servicable Screwdriver is used the screws are difficult to aline and tend to strip out the plastic screw receptacle. Will provide another evaluation when the unit is actually tested in use.

The media could not be loaded. The Mestek GFI outlet tester and circuit breaker finder are powered by both AA and AAA batterys that are included in the kit. Both units fit very nicely into the included carrying case. Once you install the batterys , testing a GFI circuit breaker is very simple. Just press the test button and you immediately get your results. ( test current and trip time are also provided ). The GFI breaker tester is also used as a transmitter for the circuit breaker location. Using the tracer tool, you must first put it into the learn mode and place it on your circuit breaker panel. Once that is complete, you switch the tracer into scan mode and carefully move the tracer around the panel until you find the circuit breaker ( or get close to it ) See the enclosed video ! The GFI/wiring tester function works very well , however the tracer function will get you close but appears not selective enough to get you to just one circuit breaker in my testing.
