I’ve never painted in oils before and have very little experience when it comes to acrylic painting. However, I had everything I needed to get started in oil colors with this kit. It seems like a great kit to have. It includes a tabletop easel, 12 tubes of oil paints, 10 oil paint brushes (in its own case), a disposable 20 pg oil palette, a color mixing wheel, a palette knife (which fits in the paint brush holder case), one 10 x 12 stretch canvas and two 8 x 10 stretch canvases. I’ve seen most of these tools during my journey through art so although I have never done an oil painting, these tools are really easy to use and are self explanatory or you might figure out a whole new way of doing something and show the rest of us! Nothing in art is a mistake. Honestly I think the table top easel was worth the price alone. It is very small and compact easy to travel with and use it. I’m glad they included a color wheel, those are definitely helpful to have and are a benefit when you don’t have a large range to begin with. This was a really great to get started with product. I’m very pleased with this find, I would recommend it to yourself if you are just starting to oil paint or give as a terrific gift.

This is a gorgous all-inclusive oil paint set. It has everything needed to start oil painiting. Although the paint vials are quite small, there is a nice array of hues for any artist. The easel is fairly sturdy, and the canvas is well made. The paint brushes are decent, and I appreciate the brush heads are not comprised of cheap plastic. The spatula is well designed as well. This is a wonderful gift for any art lover. Moreover, it is size appropriate for young ones. Overall a wonderful set - very happy with this.

Overall, this is a good starter kit. It is a nice set that has 12 basic palette colors of oil paint. What is nice about these kits is that they don't require beginners to take decisions, which are usually overwhelming and confusing when it comes to selecting tools. This is a solid kit for anyone who wants to explore oil painting. Besides the paint itself, there are 10 brushes included, with their pouch (nice addition). The small wooden easel is not bad to have, however, treat it with care, this is really small and not that stable. An unusual addition, which I personally haven't seen with similar beginner kits, is the color wheel reference. It is quite handy and a great reference to have. Overall, a nice kit. However, the main essential components that I feel is missing is a paper sketchpad for painting. Yes, there are two 8x10 canvas panels included, but first, 2 surfaces is not enough and second, it is much easier for someone who is just starting oil painting to have paper to practice (even brush strokes) before wasting canvas panels. I would have preferred if the kids omitted either the plastic palette or the palette paper (they are redundant) and included even a 12 or 24 pages painting pad.

Sometimes, you just feel like doing something that you don't have to think about. Sometimes, that could be painting. I am no artist. I can't draw a straight line. I do, however, have a desire to put paint on a canvas and see what develops. This set is perfect for that! Everything that the ad says is included is indeed in the box. The brushes work well, at least for this beginner, and the paints mix together well and dry within an hour or so. This may not be the set a true artist would use, but if you just want to play around and have some fun with paint, then this set is perfect for that.

Omg my god this is a nice set for beginners that want to paint or draw using and easel. So many goodies included. Everything you need to start your art. I got this for my daughter as she enjoys painting - she loves it! The easel itself is not the sturdiest but it’s easy to set up and take down and really doesn’t take up much space. Great gift for any budding artist.

The colors are very vibrant and a little goes a long way. I would say the oil paint is a bit messy but fun and a very peaceful activity for alone time or with someone. I love the color wheel to help make more colors and the variety of brushes and paint. Would buy again.
