This bed frame is absolutely beautiful! It’s truly a frame for the slightly bougie! The picture isn’t doing it justice! I put it together myself in around 1.5 hrs. with breaks in between. Easy instructions and and intuitive assembly. It’s also pretty sturdy for a platform bed that uses wooden slats , but I’ll still probably replace those with metal. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the lack of slats at the foot of the frame. This causes the mattress to sink into the empty space if too much weight is applied to that area. This will probably be corrected with the metal slat insert so it’s not too much of a downfall. ... show more

Worth it! Luxurious, delivered on time by some very nice young men. Came in 2 separate boxes. Well packaged. Was not too hard to build if you have someone around that knows what they’re doing, if not they provide someone who can build it for you. You do not need a bed spring with it. The media could not be loaded. This Meridian contemporary elegant platform bed is beautiful and a perfect fit for our bedroom. The black is gorgeous.     • Gorgeous but incomplete!
The bed is gorgeous, but unfortunately I was unable to assemble it because they did not include the screws, nuts and bolts required!!! Went to a local hardware store and wasn’t able to find a match based on the material list in the instructions. Very annoyed!

    • Hard to Assemble

My dad and cousin put my bed together in my apartment while I was at work, and they said it took them a really long time and it wasn’t easy. During the holidays my was helping me lift the bed to put a rug under it and 1 side of the bed came apart. The 2 screw on 1 side that attached the headboard to the frame on that side wasn’t as tight as it could’ve been. It took my mom and I at least 1 hour to screw the screws in and slide the slats back into place because they kept coming out and it was hard to fit the side frame in the screws without moving the slats. They just kept constantly falling. I wanted to cry because I just moved in my apartment the week before and I couldn’t afford another bed. It’s still holding up now, but I wouldn’t be too rough with it because of that issue and the fact that the slats are not as thick as an old fashioned bed would or any old fashioned furniture, but it is thicker than a lot of ones I have seen for really nice looking beds in stores and online. I do like the number of slats for the bed and the fact that there are 2 metal frames in the middle to support bed as well. The bed feels sturdy, but nobody should be doing cartwheels on this bed either if you know what I mean. Light to moderate activity and just laying and sitting on the bed is advised in my opinion. ... show more
