One person can assemble this, but it's better to have two, at least at the beginning. After that, it comes together pretty quickly. The choice to use slats was a bad call, because the bed linens slip between them when the sheets are tucked in. And there are only two small anchors that tear out of drywall pretty fast. You'll want to get your own anchors and mount it directly to a stud or into the floor (if you don't plan on putting it next to a wall) because it can be a bit wobbly when you're climbing up it. ... show more

This bed took a few days to set up simply because of just two missing screws, HOWEVER the seller was great on communication and shipped a whole new set of screws that were delivered the very next day! All in all the set up will most definitely take two people and if I had to give a certain time span it would be 3 to 4 hours. So take your time and don’t rush through it, every little detail matters! My 5 year old loves his bed and so do I, it set the tone for a new gamer room and is perfect for small bedroom. Very sturdy, and the value of this bed is amazing for the price! ... show more

Some pieces were mislabeled which caused us to assemble and then have to take a piece off and switch it…we did have one shelf that did not have a hole lined up where a screw went. Great value for the money. Seems solid enough, but I put three brackets into wall studs. We have had this up for about 6 months now. We put led’s under the bed so there is light in the cubby. My son loves it. Easy to put together, if you can put together any other furniture, this wasn’t too difficult. The paint is more like a primer and rubs off easily, there were small missing sections of paint, as was described by others. But it still functions and looks good. ... show more
