The quality rivals the much pricier Thuma bed—precise fit, sturdy bamboo frame, and clever Japanese joinery. My son assembled it quickly with just the included Allen wrench, and the slats roll out perfectly for a snug fit. The grey fabric headboard is stylish, and the whole bed feels incredibly solid. 5/5 for now at start of assembly, will update at 6 months and 1 year! I have been searching high and low for japanese joinery beds that wouldn’t break the bank. I originally went to Valyou and purchased the Charm 2.0 from there only to be met with 0 communication and 1+ month wait time of it never being shipped. Come to find out they have a plethora of complaints for a variety of issues. I was luckily able to cancel my order and received a full refund while many others haven’t, but I was still in the need for a new bed frame! If I am being honest I would love to buy a THUMA but $1000+ is not in the budget at the current moment. After searching I found this bed frame and not only does it look nice, it was within budget and quite cheaper than the Valyou one I originally was looking at. Not many reviews but I felt more comfortable on amazon for potentially getting a refund than some third party site. There were minor wood abrasions upon opening the package but Im not worried about that, more so the structural soundness and stability of the bed. Im a bit of a dunce and put the bed together the wrong way about 3 times because I was in a hurry. I think taking apart my old bed frame took longer than assembling this bed. It feels sturdy once everything is set up. I appreciate that the slats the bed sits on are velcro’d to the frame. Everything feels stable. It does only have a 500lb weight limit. I did give it a few solid plops and wiggled and nothing seems to be making any noises yet. If this holds up for 6+ months I will be very impressed because I feel like I found a golden egg. I will be moving around a bit for the next few years so having a bed frame that can be assembled and disassembled easily was a huge need. Let’s see how it holds up!

So far, so good! I love the color and it took about 20 minutes to put together (along with the headboard). I was able to do it by myself, with some finagling. The headboard is a little bit flimsy like other reviews mention. They give you some foam so that it doesn’t hit the wall, but the foam needs to be larger. Otherwise, it fits my 12” queen mattress perfectly. I will try to remember to update after a few months, but so far no squeaking or anything and seems to be solid.

I think this bed frame is a great alternative to Thuma. The main frame feels sturdy and well-made, though the slats that hold the mattress are just average in quality. From the outside, it looks really clean and stylish. Assembly was super quick—took me around 5 minutes. The only drawback is that the headboard holes aren’t U.S. standard, so you can’t find a matching headboard on the market. I first bought the frame alone but ended up returning it and getting their combo instead.

I bought a king bed and I love it so much. It is sturdy and was so easy to put together. Best of all, it’s beautiful. I was looking for Japanese joinery at an affordable price and this fit the bill! The instructions were easy to follow and I put the bed together by myself in about 30 minutes. This might be my forever bed.

I highly recommend this bed. Although I wish the wing back headboard was a bit more substantial but overall, this bed is AMAZING!!! I love the Japanese joinery of the base frame. The quality is better than expected and it was super easy to assemble. I order this bed for my guestroom and it looks amazing. Also very impressed with the iron base and wooden slats. I bought a 14inch mattress for it and did not need a box spring. The height is perfect. I scotch-guarded the headboard, which is a beautiful linen like fabric to keep it clean. I Would definitely buy this bed again.

I was really excited about upgrading to a king bed. We went back and forth on a bunch of different frames, ultimately choosing this one. It looks nice. The frame itself is very sturdy and was easy to assemble. The headboard is another story. It is flimsy and it doesn’t feel firmly attached to the frame. We followed the assembly directions. Assembly of the headboard was not easy. Lining up the holes was challenging and frustrating at times. All in all, I’m happy with the bedframe, but I would not purchase again. Returning it would require disassembly and cause a major headache, so I’ll just live with it. I am slightly disappointed with the final product.
