So first I would like to talk about the amount of time it takes to put together. It took us about a day and if we'd had all the boxes initially, it would have taken a little less time, that being said. The bed itself is extremely sturdy. It states it can hold up to 300 pounds. I don't know if that is true, but definitely it held myself and my son as I read to him, his first night in his big boy bed. The color is stunning and it appears to have all the things a young person needs to be successful. It's got steps with railing and the cabinet and bed are on the opposite side and those steps on the railing side also act as open ended cubbies for extra storage. It's got an armoire that is big enough to hold all of his clothes. His winter stuff is hanging. His pants are folded on the shelf, and I have two baskets in the cubbies on the bottom to hold his other remaining clothing needs. It has drawers next to the armoire which could be used for additional clothing if needed but as it stands, my son will use it for other things. There is a table/shelf of sorts above the drawers that extends to the end of the bed and a slide out desk on rollers that fits under the table/shelf. My son at 7 likes to crawl under-the-table and hide in the back toward the steps where we've set up a little seating area, some lighting, etc. On this bed, the only drilling we had to do was for the slats for the bed itself, everything else was predrilled and done well. All the parts lined up and put together.It really does look amazing. It is a quality bed. As previously mentioned, the instructions are not great they are a little bit like IKEA furniture instructions. So there will definitely be some time that will be needed to figure out kind of how some of these things go together. Overall for the cost, I will say it was definitely worth it. My son is absolutely thrilled with his new bed and he feels safe. We used an eight inch mattress and that works perfectly and allows him to roll without the concern of rolling off the bed. ... show more

This is a great buy. It took us 2 days to build. 1. Due to starting late on the 1st day around 6pm when it came in the afternoon & 2. Due to small room space due to size of home. I gave this a 4 star due to a few things. 1st is the assembly. You have to be careful with it due to instructions not specifying which way something goes. So for the two cubby holes in the dresser we had to turn it around for it to be on right. 2nd it is the way some of the holes weren't pre drilled or marked, sort to say, to show where something goes when it was a screw that goes in for the back of the dresser or where a random piece of wood goes beside the stairs behind dresser. 3rd I don't like the fact that the dresser and desk isn't able to be moved. So it's like it seems the actual bed can't be against the wall if you want to get under the bed for maybe lounging under there. Also with this the dresser and desk are kind of held on by a few screws which we will probably end up disconnecting to push back so our son can lounge under there. He is about to be 9 so he doesn't mind it right now to crawl under the desk. All in all this isn't a bad bed. Max weight limit is 350. It is very sturdy and durable. Cats seems to love climbing up the stairs. I will post pictures soon to show what I mean by certain things. OH DONT buy a 12inch FULL mattress 😅 buy like a 8inch the 12 does reach just under the top bar but I still don't recommend a 12inch unless you are DANG certain that your kid or whoever doesn't toss and turn in their sleep. Also when ordering in comes in 3 giant freaking boxes. 😆 I'm a real person 2 btw in NC so this ain't no fake ash review. ... show more
