I bought the model in warm brown in double/full size. It was exactly as pictured and described. I was nervous about buying furniture through Amazon sight unseen, but this was a great experience (minus delivery). More on that later. A big shoutout/thank-you to Bailey n Alex's review. The suggestions were spot on and helped so much. I know I would have figured them out, but especially the advice about the headboard rail was extremely helpful. Assembly took one hour from unpack to walk away because I took my time and didn't force pieces. Never had to use a mallet. All pieces hand tightened. This is for the guest room so it hasn't been slept on yet. I'll post more when it has truly been used. I laid on it and rolled around to test noise, and it was quiet. Very impressed with the design, sturdiness, and style. Now about delivery. Not the seller's fault. FedEx left the box on a boardwalk in my apartment complex. Near my building, but not at my apartment. The box was dented and torn in places so I was a bit concerned, just as other buyers had mentioned. However, the bed is so well-packed there wasn't even a ding on it ANYWHERE! No thanks to FedEx, but definite thanks to Merax. If you're considering this bed, go for it. Well worth the price and then some. VERY happy with my purchase.

We bought this bed for a guest room. With a bunky board and a premium queen mattress, I love that the bed is slightly lower than our other beds. It looks really nice and gives the room a calm feel. It is a very good value for what you get, looking more expensive than the price. It's solid. My only complaint is that the manufacturer doesn't make night stands to go with it.

Details like the Japanese style assembly, and the edging around the mattress are subtle but elegant upgrades that elevate the style of this frame. What should you know about this product. It absolutely absolutely deletes all of these other beds that try to get you to spend one thousand-two thousands of dollars on a so called japaneese joinery bed frame.This bamboo easy to assemble with a taller head board than others offer is unreal.The fit/ finish and quality are hard to believe these days.This company deserves a TEN STAR rating I hope other overpriced bed frame companies take notice cause this bed frame is a wake up call to people over spending on this style of bed frame My 17 yr old son assembled this himself with the head board so you know anybody can do this.It was quick,well labeled and a dream to assemble.Solid with well thought out center support and good height to clean under and no squeaks! This is a detailed review with some tips on how to put it together. Off the bat, 10/10, 5 stars, consider my mind blown. Listen we are all painfully aware that ordering furniture from Amazon is is sketchy at best and particle board hell at worst. THIS breaks the mold. Like most of you checking this bed out, you think the THUMA was gorgeous and then threw up in your mouth when you saw the price. $2,500 for a king with a headboard… is the wood endangered or something? The copycats are not much better, most over a $1000 and sold out while still giving off wayfair vibes. So when I stumbled on Merax I decided that if I’m gonna risk bitter disappointment, I was gonna do it with at least an easier return policy. The bed frame showed up earlier than quoted and the box was a little banged up. I was already bracing for the usual: glorified cardboard cosplaying as wood, cracked, chipped, and pathetic. I opened the box and was shocked. Well packaged, solid pieces , beautiful color, smooth. It looked expensive! It was simple to put together and the joinery requires just a little bit of patience for it all to slip together. There were only two small chips on the whole bed and they were barely noticeable or hidden from view. The quality of this bed frame is shockingly high. I’m laying on it right now, and did all my tests for when the Mrs. and I get some time away from the kiddo, no creaks, squeaks, or flexing. She is sturdy, stable, and sleek. The mattress is supported perfectly, I’m in love. This whole King bed frame cost LESS than just the THUMA headboard at around $370 dollars after tax. Just buy it and thank me later. And now for some construction tips: 1. The instructions are simple but the pictures matter, look closely at them. 2. The squishy black padding goes on TOP for the center supporting legs. 3. The sides of the bed are SLIGHTLY different at one end. You’ll see that one end has a subtle curve on the bottom, that’s the end that goes into the head board. The straight end is the foot of the bed. 4. When placing the feet of the frame the slickers that say “inside” are unreliable and probably in the wrong spot. Take a good look at the and you’ll see that one corner is noticeable rounded off compared to the others. That’s your outside corner and it should be installed as the pictures show. 5. The brace at the food of the bed take only hand pressure to slide into place. DO NOT use a mallet. If it’s took hard for your hands (gown man speaking) then back it out and adjust it a bit. 6. The head brace is the most difficult of the entire bed. GO SLOW. First of all you’ll need to slide it in from the side because there’s very little play, so it need to enter the hole dead on, like a key. 7. Once slid in, the joinery takes a little bit of finagling to get the pieces to seat together properly. Nothing needs to be FORCED, just back it out and adjust as many times as you have to. You can see in the pictures that everything is flush, so use your fingers to feel if parts are sticking out funny. That will help guide you and which parts of the bed need a nudge to help this piece finally slide in to place. Again, no mallet required BUT I did do taps with my palm since you have to go side to side so that it seats evenly. 8. After that it’s smooth sailing, stick the wood slats on their starter pegs and rolling out on the velco, you’re good to go.

I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! The quality of this bed is exceptional! Sturdy, beautifully crafted, and clearly built to last. You can tell a lot of thought went into the engineering and design. Everything fits together perfectly and feels solid once assembled. The packaging was also top-notch.
