The assembly instructions are primarily drawings and are very clear to understand and the daybed is easy to assemble. The daybed is sturdy and all but the side panels are made from quality wood pieces for the frame. The side panels are thin and w pliable pieces, possibly made of engineered wood. The wooden slats provide really great additional support. They can be screwed into place which will help to keep them from moving around. Screws are provided but you will likely prefer to use a drill over a screwdriver. Not all of the slats are the same size and you may need a few tries to make sure that they are centered before screwing in place. It is a twin size bed and will be perfect for naps even for hosting guests.

Bed is good for children, not sure how sturdy it would be for an adult but it's good for what I need it for and 7 year old approves. The wood is cracked a tiny bit but pretty easy to put together as long as you got 2 people.
