An excellent coat that will help you stay warm on cold days. The tough stitching and roomy shoulders make it comfortable. My only dissatisfaction is with the double zipper when closing it. This is a very nice dark blue coat. It fits well and allows free movement without restrictions. It is a heavy coat, weighing 4.75 lbs. but will keep one very warm in cold weather. It has 5 outside pockets and one inside pocket. The outside pockets are secured with either a metal snap (on the left arm) or large buttons chest and waist) pockets. It has a hood that will protect in cold, wet and windy weather, but it can be removed with a zipper. The interior is a nice silky synthetic material, while the outside is a thick and tough water resistant material. The end of the sleeves have an elastic like material to provide a very secure fit and prevent a breeze or snow from getting inside. The zipper is nylon, but very sturdy and looks similar to a metal zipper as opposed to the light nylon you see on some light jackets or sleeping bags. This is a very functional and good coat that will keep you warm on a cold, windy day or night.

This jacket is heavy—in a good way. When I unpacked it, I honestly thought it was a mattress. It’s a true long, insulated winter coat built for real cold. I’m 6'0" and 180 lbs, and the XL fits well with plenty of room for the multiple base and mid-layers you’d want in very low temperatures. The two-way zipper is excellent for sitting or driving, and unlike many coats I’ve owned, the zipper here feels solid and runs smoothly without snagging or sticking. The shell feels rugged and tightly woven, with a wind-blocking, water-resistant hand. The detachable hood and removable faux-fur trim are nice for switching between “commute in bad weather” and “cleaner around-town” looks. I also like the inner carry straps—you can sling the coat over your shoulders when you head indoors so your hands stay free. The long, parka-length cut keeps more of you covered and should help retain heat when the wind picks up. For context: this is probably overkill for our mild Louisiana winters, but it’s exactly what I’ll reach for when traveling north in winter or anytime the forecast is brutal.

This is the warmest coat I have ever owned. It’s a bit longer than a normal coat. Comes down to mid thigh. Very soft. I like the multiple pockets too. The hood is detachable. All materials are high quality. Strong zippers and great cushioning. This will securely beat any cold day in my area.
