Work in a distribution facilty where Steel toes/Composite toes are mandatory. I've been wearing these boots for months and they are still perfectly intact and comfortable to wear. The steel toe does not rub against to the top or side of toes and fits perfectly in place. I do have an issue with the laces however due to me overtightening my boots. The top lace channels are metal and don't have a smooth edge so I have already worn them out. Luckily an extra set of laces are included with the boots. These are worth the 25 I paid for them, anything more is a ripoff, thin material, cheap laces after maybe 5 times worn they started to frey.

I was surprised that these are actually true to size and pretty comfortable to wear. The toes are obviously steel tipped, but I cannot verify if there really is any protection in the sole. The listing says it has a kevlar sole and it does bend easily as you walk and the shoes themselves are pretty light for work boots. I'm not sure what the pattern on the sole is for, but the material is a hard plastic that will probably get slippery if you walk on something greasy like at a gas station. One problem I can see is that while the toe is protected, the sides and uppers are a soft rubber that does not offer much protection. The top grommet is not a "hook" like on some work boots and the laces are threaded through it. There are 2 pair of extra laces in the bag which is a nice touch. The listing says it is puncture proof, but the sides really do not offer much ankle support and certainly no protection from something hitting the side of your foot. These may be OK for working around the yard or job site - but I don't think I would feel safe during demolition for example when there is a chance of a side impact or stepping on a nail. These are a reasonable price for a steel toe boot, just know the limitations. ... show more
