They did have a factory smell fresh out the package but they're new and vacuumed sealed so it's not unexpected. I left them out to puff up and air out for 3 days and that was the perfect amount. I punched them around a little on day 2 to spread the filling more evenly also. Now they look and feel amazing! Will definitely be buying these if I need more pillows ever. ... show more

It's has been 3 days since I opened them up. I've never had any pillows smell like this Ever! So I air them out a few more days and if they don't stop the burned plastic smell. I'm kinda worried about the chemicals that must of been used to make these pillows. Over all I like the shape is why I bought these. I used two pillow just to do what one of these do. The extra filling is only enough for one. Specially for me. Broad shouldered but all I need is one. The extra cover is a bonus. So hopefully the smell will go away. I do still wondering why extreme chemical smell is good for lungs. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to keep them. No one gave me these I spent my own money. I hope I helped someone make there decision. I will update those review if I return them. Update: after a couple weeks the smell is GONE YEA. I am updating from a 3 star to a 4. Normal pillow cases don't work. So order one if you order these pillows. Well I am still using it. The pillow has helped me sleep on my side. With shoulder issue it releaves the stress on my shoulder. What I hate is it goes flat after 5 hour's. I just wish it would not deflate. I do have a big head though. I really like the idea of these pillows to help for neck and shoulder pain. To find a happy middle ground with the stuffing I'm still working on it. They don't send you enough for a broad shoulder adult. They add some extra filling in a bag. Good but didn't work for us. They are too puffed out and about a real 8 inches high. As a back sleeper I thought they would work but its just too tall for a comfortable sleep without a neck ache. You feel almost upright using these. They seem to hold the shape as name brand memory foam does. They were a little harder than name brand too. We ended up using ours on the man cave couch as new back cushions and not for sleep so it wasnt a total waste. lol ... show more

Heavenly. Firm yet gentle. Smells good fresh out of plastic wrapper. It's supportive and inviting. I'm pleased that I chose these pillows. They're good for about a year and a half or so. It's a smart idea to cold water wash before first use.
