My hubby and I disagree on the firmness of a mattress. I like one that’s soft, he likes extra firm. The last mattress I bought for us was rated as medium firm (I was trying to find a happy medium that we’d both be OK with). It didn’t work. He thought it was too soft, I thought it was too firm. So I bought this mattress topper and a 3” extra firm mattress topper for him. I bought a queen size topper cover, then cut (with an electric knife) 8” off this mattress, and 8” off the extra firm one, then put them together in the zippered cover. It worked. We’re both happy with the bed and sleep better now.

It's exactly as advertised: a 2 inch memory foam mattress topper. Straight out of the box, it seemed to be a little bit short to me but when I thought about it I realized that may change as it returns to its full size. That is the case, and it does lengthen as well as plump up as it returns to its true shape. It's not as heavy to pick up as I expected it to be, which is a good thing; I wouldn't be able to maneuver it around myself if it were very heavy. It is a bit cumbersome to move when it's not in its compressed state straight out of the box, but that's to be expected. There is no foul smell. I'd worried about that initially. I'd noticed in reviews some had mentioned a typical foam smell but I don't notice any smell at all. I do wish it came with a cover, as another reviewer mentioned. I suppose I'll just have to be sure to wash my sheets more often than I usually do. Others mentioned it is more on the firm side and I agree with that. It is, but at the same time it's less firm than our mattress, which my husband purchased for his tastes. He prefers a firmer mattress, which hurts my back, and is why I ordered this topper. It's my hope that this will help alleviate the pain I feel from sleeping in our bed. So far so good but if that should change either way, I'll update this review. I'm a side sleeper and tend to turn several times in the night when laying flat on a bed so I also have a concern about this moving along with me. If that should end up an issue I'll update for that, as well. At the time of this review, the asking price for the twin size is $39.95. I think that's a little steep, to be honest, especially since it doesn't come with a washable cover to keep it from being damaged by sweat, spills, etc. Being perfectly honest, I think a topper of this quality without a cover would be worth no more than $30 for a twin size. I'm glad I ordered it through Vine because I would not purchase this twin sized topper for $40 if it didn't come with a cover. If they come down in price for the twin or add a cover for the current price, then I'd definitely recommend it.

Sadly had to return the Item. Our Backs could not stand the softness and pain was just to much. Otherwise the Topper was perfect. Contacted Seller and was treated with curtesy, respect and understanding. Thank you

We got this for our teenager’s twin bed which felt too firm. This actually made it more firm - not less firm. I admittedly was skeptical based on the reviews, and worried its was perhaps that he didn’t weigh enough to compress the foam. Well, I’m a nearly 200 pound adult, and it made the mattress more firm for me too. I don’t know if we got the wrong pad sent or if there are quality control issues, but the one we got is firm, not soft. Positives: - No smell! - It does appear to be a quality memory foam topper. I like this mattress topper be cause it adds a bit of softness to my extra firm mattress. I have an adjustable bed frame and the mattress topper tends to shift a bit if I elevate the back or legs more than a few inches. I also need to buy some new sheets because although the topper is only 2 inches, my sheets ride up on the sides and pop off of my mattress every now and then. I would recommend this memory foam mattress topper to others.
