I have been in love with this bed frame for months and was finally able to order it. All in all, it doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. My biggest hope for a new frame (coming from a very basic and strictly-for-necessity metal frame) was to have one that doesn’t squeak, and having not found the answer to that question easily on here, I can happily say that this bed frame DOES NOT SQUEAK! Halle-freaking-lujah! Once assembled, it’s extremely sturdy and well put together. Okay, now getting to the assembled state? Whooo boy. I went through the reviews and determined confidently that my husband and I could knock it out in 4-5 hours. I was wrong. Now, the instructions are faultless. I, someone who loves putting furniture together, thought they were very direct, easy to follow, universally communicative, just well done. The hardware is very well labeled, and while the pieces themselves kinda aren’t—they’re individually numbered with a printed number at one edge of each, some very visible and others not, but all hidden upon assembly—I appreciated that they weren’t labeled with stickers that would have had to be removed one by one. We started the assembly at 6:47pm… and ended at 2:58am. By the end, my hands were bright red and bruised (raw is too dramatic a word, but that’s how it felt), my entire body ached, I was quite literally functioning on pure instinct. For my arrogance, I had been thoroughly punished. Redeemingly though, the satisfaction of the completed project is bar none and made the struggle totally worth it. The frame is perfect. The drawers are a little small, but the shelves are pleasantly deep to make up for it. Even though the color is supposedly “off white”, it matches our white furniture perfectly. Some kudos: They included extras of the smallest couple screws and dowels. There aren’t predrilled holes for a lot of the steps which allows for the flexibility of natural placement in some of the pieces—this doesn’t affect the overall stability, just makes it easier to put together. A complaint: Some of the raw wood boards were warped and bent and difficult to get into place I can’t say whether or not this is worth the price tag, but for me, it was the frame I wanted no matter the cost. And I’m beyond happy with it!

Really great bed. Very well manufactured, very clear instructions. It has a lot of pieces, and I was surprised how nicely all came together. I did not even have to do any adjustments of the drawers. Looks very nice too. But a few things you may want to know: - Once you set it up, the bed is hard to move. So if you plan to put it on a corner or on hardwood, keep this in mind. On carpet, it can be moved. But instructions clearly say not to lift the bed (and it is too heavy anyway) - I was excited about the nightstands but they are way too flimsy for more than a few tiny items. But a handy person can easy improve it. - I am pretty handy and it took 8 hours to install, with some help from my wife. Without a power tool (only with screwdriver), all those screws would take many more ours. Some assembly advice, in case it helps: Despite excellent instructions, I made a few recoverable mistakes, ended up with a few (unseen) scratches and two unnecessary holes. Here are some tips: - If you are confused, pay attention to all "good sides" of the wood looking at the same direction. If you see all white on top, but one white side down, think again. - Don't assume everything is symmetric. Step 19, you have a C screw on one end, and 2 F screws on the other. - There are two identical drawer side pieces,. and it is easy to get confused with where the nightstand should be. At step 21, wait before you lay the frame until you fix the slides with D wood screws. - In step 40, setting the sides of the frame, all 4 sides are different. Pat attention ot the frames correct orientation on top with respect to the bottom. - Step 46 and 48: This is where I scratched inside the frame. Make sure the T connection is as closely screwed to 35, so when you put it int the frame, T does not scratch the frame.

The bed arrived on-time, in four seperate boxes and perfect condition. The instruction booklet was included in one of the boxes that each contained a major section to peice together. Pros: It is a solid bed that makes zero movement noise. The color was exactly as advertised. Tons of storage. Looks great in a rustic environment. Cons: The bed took approximately 8 hours to put together. The instructions were a B+ and, with some improvements, could have saved an hour's worth of confusion. A hand drill would have also shaved another hour, if not more. If you don't mind the time and effort it takes to assemble, this bed is highly recommended! One star deducted for the needed instruction booklet improvement.
