After reading some of the neg reviews, I was unsure. Went ahead with it anyway, because the price was inviting and we needed a bed. No regrets and totally happy with the purchase. One negative review I would like to mention which caused some hesitation was from the person who said the center metal piece was too short and posted images. After receiving and building, it is obvious that is was a simple packaging error. The customer could have returned and received the proper parts instead of placing such a bad review. Our bed arrived perfectly packed, with all the right parts. It was impressive. There was a long narrow box and it had some styrofoam inserts. Everything was very thoughtful to prevent damage. It even survived nearly unscathed, the Amazon delivery. Since many poorly packed items break when Amazon delivers, that's really saying something. Assembly required about 1 hour. After reading some other bed frame reviews about frustrating, extensive assembly required, I was very happy about this one. Pictorial instructions were a bit vague but the requirements were fairly obvious. Everything easily went together. The edges were not quite perfect and flush but they were close enough. For the price, I feel like we really scored. Thats why 5 stars. While it may not be the best bed frame ever, it perfectly filled the role and did not destroy our money while doing so. I really like this bed! It was super easy to build all the parts, which fit perfectly, and it only took me a short time to put it together. The solid wood frame feels sturdy, and the natural pine color gives a nice, clean look to the room. The height is great for storage underneath, and it doesn’t squeak or move around. These are fantastic kids, I bought two, hoping that I would like them. I am more than like them, I’m completely enamored of them. That seems like a strong word, but I’m a late 60s woman who put them together by myself even though the box says a team is suggested. This bed is sturdy unlike my former metal bed. The old bed made so much noise. In addition, it was extremely uncomfortable that I seldom got a good night sleep due to tossing and turning all night long. I finally bit the bullet and changed beds which was the wisest decision I made. The bed was easy to put together. I even kept my mattress which I thought contributed to the problem. For the price this was an outstanding purchase. Solid frame with super easy / quick assembly. And the Color matched well with my current bedroom pieces Cons The slats that came with are not the best for support without a box spring or piece of plywood ( I am using a memory foam so it slouch’s where I sleep The material is definitely a softer cheaper wood that will definitely crumble under the right activities over time if you get my drift. (See attached pics but don’t judge - we need to paint lol) Bought both the twin and the twin xL: Easy to assemble Directions easy to follow Everything labeled Minimal pieces Lightweight Color is nice No chemical smell Seems sturdy enough for guestroom bed Was able to assemble within an hour Room for underbed storage (12inch) *Slats are not as sturdy as expected and I can see they might snap easy so just be wary if you are considering purchasing for boys who like to be rough. (IKEA slats are better quality)* *Slats Velcro in place and come as set of two which is nice. There’s a small hole which fits over a dowel in side rail. I couldn’t get them to fit completely over though* *if you’re used to diy assemble ikea products - this was 1000x’s less frustrating AND they included a nifty tool (see pics) which was extremely helpful* ... show more

Really like this bed frame - quality materials, easy to assemble, and comes with a *ratcheting* allen wrench, which was a very pleasant surprise. Purchased the cherry finish, which is more of a golden tone than red and looks great. Feels very stable, doesn’t wiggle around.
