I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to share how great this Mellow Naturalista platform bed is, especially for the money! First, it was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. The solid hardwood pieces were all perfectly straight. Putting it together, all of the holes lined up perfectly, and the hardware provided was top-notch. Oh, and in addition to the standard hex wrench, they also give you a ratchet wrench, which makes assembly a breeze. Thank you, Mellow! pretty wood! easy assembly after reading instructions. only thing is there isn't a lip on the sides to make sure bed doesnt move and it relies on the sticker on the slats

This frame is awesome sturdy. Noiseless. The cherry wood is beautiful and it was easy to put together. I only need to have one meltdown/break to assemble. I love the Velcro feature to keep the slats in place and the sticky thing on top keeps the mattress from moving around! The packaging it come in is very tall and might be something to consider. The package was leaning on the garage when I arrived home and I was like what is that??? Because it was so tall. It wasn’t heavy though and I got it in the house all on my own. ... show more

    • Beautiful and sturdy real wood! Love it!
Will add to this later but assembled this yesterday with my daughter - beautiful, sturdy - real, solid natural wood!! I did a LOT of research to find something sturdy, affordable, attractive, with slats not far apart (I measured and these are 3” pretty much exactly!) and so glad we picked this one. Not only are the outside part of the frame and the legs super sturdy, but the slats are pretty sturdy too (a different wood but not flimsy plywood which I was thinking they would be for some reason). Very well laid out materials and pretty good instructions (would love a little more detail for those of us who don’t do this all the time, but way better than most) — provided a real, easy to use Allen wrench that tightens and untightens (and also one of the simple ones). Fits beautifully with the 14” foam mattress. The ONLY thing I don’t love is that because the mattress sits on top of the frame instead of in it a little (like some of those uhholstered ones do), even with the tape that comes on the wooden slats, when you move the bed the mattress slides a little unless you really just move the frame (which is heavy because it’s sturdy!!)…. But how often are you moving a bed around? Came in a tall narrow box, so it wasn’t too unwieldy to carry inside… The darker espresso color would have matched some of the wood in the room better but it was more expensive at the time and we really love cherry anyway. And it is beautiful - glad we picked that one!! ... show more
