We flooded during Harvey and finally were able to move back into our home although not completely or even halfway done. We have two large older dogs who love to sleep with us so a lower bed was needed. I didn't want to spend a fortune and this fit our budget. It was super easy to put together and easy to move when we had to rotate rooms as we fixed one and moved to that room in order to finish the room we were in at the time. Our mattress fits perfectly on to it as well. So far we have not experienced any creaking or noises from our bed. With my husband, myself and 2 80 pounds dogs this frame has been sturdy. This bed is super easy to put together, super sturdy, and looks nicer than the other cheapie platform beds you can buy for < $100. I wanted something that looked at least somewhat stylish, but that wouldn't break the bank, and this fit the bill. It took all of 10 minutes for a friend and I to set this up together, and with the wooden slats, it's so nice not to need a box spring. The only thing I don't love about it is that there are adhesive strips on the slats to keep the mattress in place. They seem to work well, but I can only assume that over time, the adhesive will wear down. Also, I have an old school mattress that I like to flip on occasion, and these strips will make that more difficult. Just something to keep in mind! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Very impressed with quality overall, was hesitating to weather or not to buy it. I've seen multiple reviews for the Mellow bed frame and was considering buying the Zinus version but didn't want to shell out $200 dollars, glad I went with the more affordable one. It literally took me 20 to 25 minutes to put this together and everything was packaged carefully with no dents or chips. Everything was simple to read and was glad that it even came with tools to assemble it. If I could give this product a 10 rating I would happily do so. I went with the 6 inch bedframe, it's stylish and has a minimalist look and feel to it. Great for small tiny apartments, I live in NYC and it's the perfect size for my tiny studio. Pros: I really like the low 6” height, sturdy base, and the easy-to-follow instructions. The clear number markings made for easy assembly, and all the drill holes matched up perfectly. The steel and wood combo gives it a solid, high-quality feel. Cons: One downside—when I opened the package, the Velcro was already peeled off, so I had to reglue it to keep the wood planks in place. One beam must have been dropped during packaging because it was quite dinged up despite being individually wrapped. Thankfully it wasn’t dented and didn’t affect the install. Also, I didn’t consider that my mattress has rounded corners, while the frame is designed for a square-edged mattress (as shown in the listing photos). Because of this, the fit looks a bit off. Overall: Despite the minor issues, it feels very sturdy and secure. I’m happy with the look and functionality. ... show more

This product was actually really fun to put together, and this was the first (and will probably be the last) time I am saying this about putting together furniture. It was easy and straightforward and fun to get it from a box to my most important piece of furniture...my bed! It has a very simple, sleek, and classy look to it. It's minimalist without being boring. It is sturdy and easy to move and use. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and the way overpriced modern metal beds I've seen people blow money on. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for the things I looked for in my bed: lower to the ground for the safety of young kids and dogs who like to visit, classier-looking than a typical bed frame with no headboard and footboard, easier to move, easier to set up, easy to match to any and all decor, stable for back-supporting sleep, strong and enduring for crazy kids that jump and play everywhere, and space-maximizing. ... show more

I have to say that this is one of the best frames I’ve owned. Once put together and tightened properly, it has been incredibly sturdy. I was worried when I pulled everything out of the box that it might be a death trap for us and our pets, but I tightened the bolts sincerely and it doesn’t budge. Photos added. We have had the product for 2 years now. We just got rid of it for another one in similar model but without the issue of this one. So. The first year we had this there were no problems whatsoever. Then we started to feel the middle of the bed dipping in, almost a sudden downward shift, this mainly happened if we shifted alot through the night. Now me and my wife are not heavy people. Us together is less than 400lbs. We didn't think much of it at first, I looked underneath the mattress, looked at the wooden boards that support the mattress, no issues found. About 2 months ago it was time to clean our sheets, when we lifted off the mattress I noticed some scratches in our floor boards. That is when I learned that the sudden dips were the middle pegs were curved sideways and pressed into my floor eveytime it dipped. It completely grooved and scratched my floor. Very easy to assemble and move. No long term sturdiness regarding the middle support beam. ... show more
