This bed is great, I got the black version and there's a real reason nobody should get the grey version (that is, if they're buying this bed for stability). Look at the supports at the bottom of the grey bedframe vs the black bedframe - the black bedframe has plenty more interconnected pieces of steel than the grey version and is significantly more stable. This is low profile, stable, utilitarian sort of bedframe at a very fair price. Between its sturdiness and look, it's a near perfect bedframe for modifications. My only issue with this bedframe is that there's no foam, padding or otherwise to prevent sliding, but that's an easy DIY fix anyway. The frame has so much surface-to-surface contact with the floor that it doesn't move much with one person on it and practically doesn't move at all when two people are on it.

I like it a lot I'm glad I bought it . It's easy to put together but until you get to the part where the side rails 1-2 and 3-4 you can't put one side in at a time you have to put the bottom rails on first at the same time don't push them in you have to put the rails in at the same time a little at a time then when you line them up and they are ready to be pushed in take a rubber mallet to make them go in but make sure they are making contact on each end .Your going to need another person to help you . Last the directions don't explain how to do this part it tells you very little about the side rails .Anyways I figured it out I'm sure you can too!

I had to attach my head board to the wall with French cleats. After several attempts to rig up a way to attach the head board all failed. I finally gave up and attached my king size headboard to the wall. This is working well. The frame itself is very nice looking and easy to assemble. It is rock solid sturdy. There are stickers on a couple of the rails to keep your mattress from sliding around. I didn’t like that as when I made the bed it was pulling on the sticker rails to tuck in the sheets. I ended up buying a large carpet pad to stick to the frame and it has held the mattress in place beautiful. Now that I have worked out those couple of kinks I am extremely happy with this frame. I purchased the 12 inch king frame in silver. So easy to slide storable containers under the bed.

No problems with any bent items as some have stated in their reviews. Take time to read the instructions well and it makes sense how it goes together. Item does have some lighter flecks in the finish, so it does look more dark brown than black, if that makes a difference to you. Overall, very pleased!

This is a sturdy frame! Although instructions say you need 2 people, I was able to assemble it by myself. You just have to be a little forward thinking in how everything goes together against the headboard. Basically building the top section in place first, then attaching the rest. I was pleasantly surprised that there were so many crossmembers for the width of the bed, not only do you have the 3 big vertical supports, but an additional 10 lateral bars to support the mattress. If I need a platform for my guest room, I'm absolutely buying this again. (Pictured wood platform on top not included)
