I was very satisfied with my YouTube discovery of the use of pieces of hacksaw blade as ferro strikers. Then I came across the DOSMANZ striker/scrapers on Amazon. They looked nicely made, were configured interestingly, and were so inexpensive that i had no qualms about satisfying my curiosity. They arrived today. Nicely finished and a perfect size and fit for my fingers. The first scrape put the hacksaw blade to shame. The shower of hot sparks looked like the Fourth of July!. I immediately replaced all my hacksaw blade strikers except the one that fits so perfectly in my Swiss Army Knife's sheath. An unequivocal 5 star rating.

Exceeded my expectations esp given the price. Very easy to use and makes a great shower of sparks with each size of ferrous rod i have, .25 inch and .75 inch. I don't know about the bottle opener but it looks sturdy so i imagine it'll open a bottle without issues. 5 come in the box so one for each of us in the family with one left over as a spare. Very happy with this purchase.

This does what it's supposed to do. Not sure why all of the 5-star ratings. It does its job. I can't compare it to other strikers or just using the back of a knife, but it works.

these are the best strikers on the market for the softer ferro rods. they thro a tremendous amount of sparks are easy to hold and the hole allows you to afix the striker to the rod with a string. truly the best strikers i have found. they work great and are well worth the money.

If these were cheapoooos I would tell you great buy they all look great and there's measuring numbers on the side I never noticed that when I bought them preping for coronavirus its on its way buy some of these you may need them

These strikers work well they have a raised lip on one side to dog into your ferrocerium rod allowing for a shower of hot sparks. They have a metric ruler maked on the side and it contains a nut driver. It has a hole in one end to add a lanyard to. Overall a product that works well if you have a good ferro rod...don't leave home without both!🙂👍👍

Works great even as a lefty. Cut out is setup for right hand use, but works lefty too. If not connected to something else lefties can also hold the pointiest ends and use the longer edge.

These are much better than many of the steels that come with most rods. I have some 1/2" X 5" rods and these work well with them. I also have some very cheap HF pocket fire starters and these are a big improvement.
