Didn’t expand to the size expected. Still more comfortable than the mattress it replaced so we will be keeping. Mattress returns are a huge pain. Should have read the reviews before purchasing.

    • Soft and comfy mattress that's also decently supportive underneath the 'mallow layer.
This Mellow 8 Inch Marshmallow Mattress has a billowy top to it, and it just feels oh-so-good! It has just the right kind of softness to it that gives you that "sinking into a comfy, pillowy mattress" feeling, but with also nice support under that first layer for longer term durations of sleep, where you don't wake up with horrible aches and pains from it being too soft. It's really a perfect happy medium as far as mattresses go in terms of firmness and softness. This arrives all wrapped and bound up in a box, and if you've never received one like it, you'll need a little patience to allow it to fluff and form out appropriately, even after releasing it from the wrappings. I gave it a couple of days to really let it do its thing before attempting to sleep on it, and that seemed to do the trick. This is being used as a guest bed, and we've had some nice compliments on it being really comfortable - no topper needed on this one! I like the breathable cover on this that's hypoallergenic, and it's great that the memory foam in it is anti-microbial, too. I also love that it is more eco-friendly and less toxic, especially if you're looking to purchase this for your child as their primary mattress. Everything about this mattress is well-made, supportive, and comfy - so it gets two thumbs up from this household! Love it! ... show more

We are happy with the mattress, it is easy to unpack and after that you just have to wait for it to fully expand. My husband has back problems and he has not complain. We have several beds and I have tried it on top of another mattress but it really does not matter, it is meant to be on its own and the comfort is the same as a regular mattress if not better, the mattress is soft but you will not sink in it. Perfect for us, my husband likes his mattress very soft and I like it on the mattress a little firmer; this is a good medium. ... show more

This is a pretty neat little mattress. Its more like a firm pillow then mattress. It does come vacusealed (see photos). I highly recommend having it in place prior to opening. I got the Twin size so this wasn’t as important as a larger size would be. There are no handles on the sides of this when it expands so if you are by yourself moving could be an issue. A ‘quick’ cut tool is included with the instructions but honestly if you aren’t using that type of item (think wrapping paper cutter that looks like a credit card) then its more annoying then useful. The instructions do say an oder maybe present when first opening and to allow 24 to 48 hours for it to completely dissipate. I didn’t notice anything major, mostly it just smelled a bit like a cleaner and was gone within 5 minutes. You are also directed to allow 1 to 2 days to allow the mattress to fully expand. In the phot with the mattress in full view that is within 5 minutes of opening, the next photo with my hand on the side of the mattress is 2 days later. Very similar in size. The back of the mattress is photographed but I don’t know if you can see the tiny dots on the bottom. Its an anti-slip style (like the kind you get on slippers for the house) so this shouldn’t easily slid off a bed. If you need to sleep on a super soft mattress then this is 1000000% for you. If you need something ultra firm this isn’t for you. Overall, this is a fantastic mattress for visitors / guest room / kids room. ... show more
