  • Great, but HEAVY boxes...
This is a great car shelter for the money. I stored my 19 foot boat and trailer inside without a problem. It is extremely sturdy and relatively easy to build. The only thing you should know is that it is delivered in 2 boxes that weigh about 100 lbs each so make sure you have help when they get delivered because they just drop the boxes in front of your house and you have to hump them inside! ... show more

  • Stood up to Hurricane Helene
I am a skeptic but was hopeful. Putting this together gave me a good feeling. It’s well made and very sturdy. We recently dealt with Helene’s wrath here in the very SW corner of Virginia and lost power for far too long and my son was on a boil water alert for weeks. This storage tent doesn’t look like it went through anything! I’m buying another to use as a carport now because I completely trust it! Worth every penny. ... show more

  • Nice product with a Caveat
I purchased one of these last year. Erected easily & quickly wuth the help of my brother. Seemed to be an affordable solution to protect my classic good pickup. Unfortunately the fabric failed in almost exactly 1 year. I purchased another one to use fabric on old one. Planning on applying a coating ( cool coat) to hopefully extend life. Once I got new unit constructed I plan on using corrugated metal sheeting for a more durable solution. For $400 you get 1 year of protection. When new fabric looks great , but 1 year later it’s totally falling apart. I purchased a 20’ x 30’ tarp to cover and extend it’s use. I used concrete steel stakes with 3/4” washers and lynch pins through eye bolts bolted through metal legs to hold unit down during wind events. Would be great if fabric was of better quality and would hold up better over time. ... show more

  • Carport Catastrophe: MELLCOM's Epic Fail!
Disaster! Carport ripped at top in weeks. MELLCOM refused fixes, denied return, bullied me with return costs. Tossed out insulting $60/$30/$50/$60 offers—told me to buy a tarp for their new junk! Forced A-to-z claim. Shocking quality, abysmal service. Stay away!

  • Requires Patience To Build But Works OK
Style: 12'x24'
This is a three-man, five-hour job, which seems excessive to me even as I write this, but it's true. It happened. It sucked. It's a decent product once put together, but understand that the UI is absolute crap. For example, they didn't label the bags of bolts 'A,B,C...etc' and the 'C' and "D' bolts are nearly identical, so make sure you take your time and organize ALL of the screws on a table top prior to doing anything else. Also, they built almost zero flexibility or margin of error into the product fit, so take the time to measure out precisely where the corners go, otherwise the door flaps don't zip properly. Lastly, the bottom runners (#8 poles) go in flaps on the cover fabric, so don't bother installing the #8 poles until you've thrown the fabric over top of the structure. Lastly, this tent is LOW to the ground, making storage capacity somewhat limited. I bought this tent to cover my 20-foot NauticStar 200SD deck boat with outboard motor on it's trailer. A deck boat is relatively low-profile as far as power boats go, and it -barely- fit under this tent. If you have a center-console or even relatively large bowrider, don't bother with this tent, buy something with higher clearance, or expect to anchor it to standing cinder blocks or something to make it taller. As for durability, we'll see how it goes this winter. I anchored it at every place it touches the ground. ... show more

  • Tarp warped and ripped
Assembly was difficult. I purchased in Nov 2022. Within a month or 2 in the winter sun, the tarp had already warped. Now less than 2 years in, the top is ripped down the middle and across the front. The zipper door is nearly impossible to close completely due to the melted fabric and it looks like it snowed inside because the tarp is just discintigrating. I truly expected it to last longer than 2 years. ... show more

  • Well made and easy to install
Easy instructions. Parts were labeled. There was extra hardware. Took 2 hrs 45 minutes to put together by myself. It is very sturdy and can handle very strong winds which is a plus for where I live. Happy with this purchase
