I was surprised that these Melamine dishes looked so similar to my stoneware. I remembered the old "plastic" dishes that we used for picnics and these are certainly nothing like the old "melamine". The colors are vivid and each piece has just enough weight and thickness to make them attractive enough for company. I ordered these a few years ago and the plates started out amazing. Only isse was they stayed extremely hot after using in the microwave. Fast forward a year and a half and the plates are starting to bubble and one of the bowls the coloring completly chipped away and I had to throw it out. You can feel that one of the plates will start doing this soon as well. Bummed because I haven't even owned these for 2 years. ... show more
