I cannot use this product because of the awful high frequency sound it makes when you use it. It's a little jarring to my ears, but my poor dog will freak out and run under the bed. It doesn't matter what room I'm in, it must be so piercing to her (she's a big dog) that she can hear it anywhere in the house and the poor thing will run and cower. I'm not spending the gas money to return this to an Amazon facility, so I'll just eat the money and never use this product. Fair warning to dog-owners or anyone who is noise sensitive. It really is a jarring sound.

i wanted to replace an old Bic long-neck lighter i use for candles - it gets hard to reach in when they're almost at their end. wow, this works great! i must have been living under a rock. no idea there were flameless lighters out there. cute colors, flexible neck, rechargeable, and has a loop which is great for hanging (not all lighter models on Amazon have them). i ordered pink but got blue instead, company was very kind in warning me there was an Amazon mix-up with this model (i really don't care, just didn't want black). price is very reasonable, will be buying these as gifts for friends. -- one nice feature is that this does not have a child-safety button. hoping company will not get in trouble for this, but it sure makes it easier to operate. you just push and light; no second button to hold down to unlock.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This electric lighter is perfect for candle lighting. I can charge it with a usb cord so never have to worry about butane or it running empty. The wand is nice being able to bend in any direction and can reach the deep candles. . It’s got a hole on handle for hanging it up so i don’t lose it. It’s really cool seeing the electric current vs a lighter flame . Can be used almost 600 times without a recharge

Does it light candles? Yes. Does it make a horrible high-pitched noise that not only hurts my ears but also sends my dog running from the room to whimper in the furthest corner of the house away from where I'm trying to light the candle? Yes. Also, it broke after only using it a few times. Not a big deal as I already was planning on going back to regular lighters anyway.

So, I just got this lighter today, and it came partially precharged. I had to try it right away, so I went to light my 24 year old daughter's 3 wick candle. Both she and my 19 year old child said "Ouch! My ears!" Before they'd said that, I noticed both dogs with their heads cocked staring at me, and the little one left the room in a hurry, tail tucked!!! I didn't hear anything, so I was confused AF. The kids said it sounded like one of those whistle tones that only dogs and young people can hear... I'm 45 for the record. I clicked the button right next to my ear in a quiet room to try to hear it, and heard nothing but silence. My 19 year old said it sounds like tinnitus (ears ringing), and at least then I could understand what they all heard. So, that's the downfall. If you have dogs, cats, kids, teens or young adults, they're going to fear it or hate it. I'm not sure if it's just THIS specific brand or model of electric rechargeable arc/plasma lighter that makes that noise, or if it's all lighters of this type, but if there are quiet or silent ones out there, I'll probably replace this one sooner rather than later. Otherwise, I absolutely love this little gadget, and will keep using it!!! Hopefully, my kids & dogs don't hate me for it or hold it against me! LOL Gone are the days of burnt fingers from hot lighters in candles, black soot on the back and butt of my hands & knuckles from the inside of the candles glass, and never being able to find a lighter when you need one. :)

This rechargeable lighter is a must have for any candle lovers. It is probably the most used item I’ve ever purchased from Amazon. I’ve had it for a month now and I am impressed with the quality of it. It’s sturdy, it fully charges within about ten minutes, and the charge last for days. It’s most convenient for lighting tall candles such as religious candles but of course you can use it for everything! Candle lovers, stop buying those dollar store lighters and make this the last lighter you ever buy!

We love to burn incense and candles, so I am always going through those long Bic lighters, which seems kind of wasteful. This little lighter looks just like the picture and works great. It lights candles instantly. I use little pinon brick incense that is too big to completely fit between the lighter prongs, but I am able to fit one edge of the brick, which is enough to get it started. When you turn the power on, you have about 10 seconds to use it before it turns itself off, which is smart. It's very easy to use. It came with a little USB cord that I plug in to a charging brick. It holds a charge for quite a while, though. There is also a protective plastic cap for the end. I think these will be great little gifts and will probably buy a few more.
