This is a percussion massager - in other words it thumps up and down at high speeds wherever you place it on your body. Do not expect it to rotate or do any fancy tricks. The various "modes", for instance, are simply the same thumping motion but in staccato bursts (kind of like a massaging showerhead - another silly invention). Also, don't expect to experience much of a difference from the variety of heads that come in the kit. I've stuck with the basic head, and it's been fine. What I like about this massager is its reach and its power. In terms of its reach, you can easily apply it to anywhere on your own back, and you don't need to ask someone else to hold it (the way you might with a smaller battery-powered hand-held). And it is powerful, with an adjustable setting. I find the lowest setting to be great for my neck, and the higher setting good for my back. Yes, it is a bit heavy, and that can grow tiresome if you're holding it for a long time, but heft is good - since you don't have to press it down hard to get the same results (that's basic physics), so it surprises me that it is advertised as being lighter, as if lighter is better. I was very pleased to have paid around $20 for the massager, so I can't recommend the current $30 as good value for your money.

I got this to use for my shoulders that tend to be too tense. They advertise it as being powerful, and it is. I am a bit on the muscular side, and I wanted something that would be able to penetrate, and this model does the trick. It is very substantially constructed, and has a number of attachments to work on different muscle groups. It works with a reciprocating action. The actual massage head, in other words, goes out and back. It has a number of settings so that you can Control the speed for the various attachments to your liking. I found this to be a very helpful device, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a deep muscle massage.

I have purchased quite a few hand-held massagers and this was the best! It is the quietest even though it matches the strength of the most powerful ones I have tried. There are 5 power settings as well as numerous variations for the type of massaging vibration. At the time I bought it, it was also the least expensive of any of the quality massagers I have purchased. The customer support people respond quickly and efficiently! All in all, I would highly recommend purchasing this massager.

This is a great item for us. One tip is rubbery and the rest are plastic so that you can use lotion or oil. They are also easy to change out and change the setting you need. I love the multiple settings and strengths as well. The handle is long enough that I can get to every part of my body (including the middle of my back). There is no battery and the cord is a bit short so I have trouble sitting on my bed and being able to use it.

I overall like it and certainly appreciate its plug-in capability rather than one that has to charge. I only disliked how none of the attachments are single point of pressure, so the impact is lessened but it's still powerful. I do recommend experimenting with the different pulse modes as they can surprise your muscles with stimulation.
