  • limitless color to your embroidery for a very reasonable price this is it ! Baby lock ,Bernina
Works very well , it’s all in your set up thread must flow freely no twisting . Really worked beautifully in my Ellisimo and Bernina 170 and for the price you can’t beat it.This needs a better comparison sheet to other threads like Madera and sulkly or any other the big names would be real nice! Update several months now still loving this thread . No problems at all really working well with all the embroidery projects it’s all about setting it up for success, use a tall thread stand . ... show more

  • Mine was Embroidex. No problems on my Brother SE625.
I read most of the reviews before purchasing this thread. It seems that over the years, this set has been sold under several different brand names. Let's face it, it's all coming from the same factory in China no matter what brand name is on it. My set was Embroidex and it came with a double sided color chart, which I laminated. As it turns out, the color chart is useless, not because it's too small, as others have said, but because the color representations are not even close to the actual thread color. And it's not organized in any way, either, so it's near impossible use it. As far as a conversion chart...forget about it. I saw that someone posted their own in the comments close to 10 years ago. That was very helpful, but it's out of date now. I'm in the process of making my own. It's really ridiculous that the manufacturer doesn't include a conversion chart. I have purchased the smaller Embroidex kits in the past and they came on a black spool. These came on a clear plastic spool, which is great because you can use a sharpie to write the color name/number on the bottom. The sticker on the top has very small print and will eventually come off or get damaged. The thread are easy to start--you can find the end piece easily and unravel it without any tools. I'm using a Brother SE625 and have had no problems with this thread. I will buy again when this set runs out. ... show more

  • 260 beautiful bright colors!!!
I was very pleased and surprised. The colors they send are beautiful and vibrant. I always think when they have a deal you will be sorry but I'm not, can't beat the price that is for sure. I have found the Polyester thread is very strong. I have used it for about 17 projects and haven't had any of the thread break, well, unless I threaded my machine wrong. LOL The spool doesn't have a way to secure the tag end after it is used but I cut the plastic base with a pair of nail clippers and it holds the tag secure, only takes three seconds. If you think about the price it is under .50 cents a spool, which is quite a bit less than half price for most stores. I know if I had to do it over again I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this Mega Kit, I'm very pleased. April 29, 2013---UPDATE............I bought this thread in Oct. 2012, have use it in a Singer SES 2000 and my new Brother Laura Ashley Innov-is 5000 embroidery sewing machine. I haven't had one single problem with this thread. I also use it for all my sewing projects, I love to sew and spend many hours a week at my machine. Someone said the thread twisted in her machine, If you have your thread set up vertical it can't twist, my brother and singer both have vertical and horizontal feeds. If you don't have a vertical thread holder buy one if you think you will have a problem. I use the horizontal for my brother, no problem, lets face it if a machine is out of timing or your tension is set wrong it will break your thread I don't care how much you spend for it. Also you need to be using the right needle it's easy to blame the thread but usually it is our mistake (I know I have made them myself). I know it is expensive to take them in for service but it can save you more in the end. I also take out my bobbin case and clean out my machine every day, it only takes a few minutes but can save you all kinds of trouble. Don't know how? Read your manual, can't find your manual go to the internet you can download one, or go to YouTube and watch a video, this is such a simple way of saving yourself a lot of time frustration and money for repairs. You can get a thread chart from Marathon thread, this is the thread wound on cardboard so you can see the real color. It was under $10. I use it every time I embroider, when you have so many colors you really need it. ... show more
