Bring the Halo Universe to LifeBased on the famous video game, the Mega Bloks UNSC Elephant is the ultimate mobile command center of the Halo universe. Let imagination take over as the UNSC Elephant rolls onto the battlefield.Scout the surrounding area with six micro action figures, five Marines and one Black Recon Armor Spartan, and six interchangeable weapons. Man the two LAAV machine guns that actually swivel and move, and use the repair crane to pick up precious cargo. The best feature is the buildable UNSC Mongoose that can be used to patrol the perimeter. Enter into battle using the manual deployment ramp and protect the UNSC Elephant from attack.Building the UNSC ElephantBoasting 1,282 pieces, the UNSC Elephant is an extensive build. A colorful instruction booklet provides excellent visual step-by-step directions. Another cool feature is that the booklet color codes where each piece is supposed to snap into the next and includes a helpful inventory list for the entire set.Because the set has so many pieces, our testers recommend a large, flat area for organization, inventory, and assembly. There are a lot of very small pieces to be aware of so they don't get lost or misplaced.Easy to Build with Snap-Together PiecesOne of the most noticeable features of the UNSC Elephant set is how easy the pieces snap together and how well the moving parts work. For example, the tires on the UNSC Mongoose roll with ease and the treads on the UNSC Elephant actually move.In addition, the set features Camo Effect Mega Bloks and decals for authenticity. Articulated Micro Action FiguresAnother cool feature is that the arms, legs, and head on each of the six micro action figures move and bend in all directions. There are also six guns that can be interchanged among the micro action figures and a number of tools that can be clipped into their hands. What's in the Box1,282 Mega Bloks pieces and instruction booklet. From the Manufacturer The massive UNSC Elephant roars onto the battlefield as the ultimate mobile command center. A Recon Spartan, cloaked in stealthy black body armor, scouts the surrounding area, ensuring the Elephant finds the optimum position to deploy its forces—taking the fight to the Covenant.

  • Wow - UNSC Elephant is BIG!!
My 7 year old son received this from Santa Claus for Christmas, and let me say, he couldn't have been happier. It is a rather extensive build though....he sure loved watching me make it! LOL....my thumbs are still hurting! Luckily he has an older brother who is a LEGO maniac and very skilled at building complex kits like this. It's a great toy, and provides hours of play. I would say that Mega Bloks still needs to improve the quality of their bricks...they don't have the same feel as the LEGO...but with the HALO line, they've figured out a great vertical. Halo has become the new army of today's generations. Playing with my son reminded me of years past, of my own playtime with my army men The instructions are hard sometimes to follow, and some of the pieces don't work right...but other than that...you can't go wrong....I know my son will continue to collect these awesome toys ... show more

  • Made for one happy boy Christmas morning
This has lots of pieces and instructions but that was expected. It took my husband and 8 yr old son 2 days to finish this but the end results were amazing.

  • MEGABLOCKS HALO UNSC ELEPHANT
I bought this for my son's 18th birthday gift because he is a huge Halo fan. We got it in about three days. He worked on it all day the day after his birthday and has had a lot of trouble putting it together because there are A LOT of missing pieces. He has had to put mismatched color pieces from other Megablocks that he has had some extra pieces to make it go together but it looks stupid because the colors don't match. We are talking about needing green and gray pieces and he has had to put white and light gray and purple of other Megaclocks pieces he already had. For the money I paid for this, I am very disappointed and he is also, that all the pieces were not there. This was new and not used and had never been opened. I plan to contact Megablocks to see if there is any way we can get any of the missing pieces but I am concerned that this won't be possible since I read in this description that this particular one was discontinued. I don't know that I would buy another one from this company. My son has been very disappointed and well and I am and can't really enjoy putting it together because of all the problems he has had due to over THIRTY missing pieces. ... show more

the halo megabloks elephant is a great toy for some one 8 and older. The set comes with five marines and one spartan and a mongoose.i got the megabloks covenant wraith and it is really solid. Maybe not that solid but strong so i would not worry that much but stay 8 and older and you should have lots of fun with the toy. ... show more

  • Poorly built
The completed toy looks great and is very solid. However, megabloks should really consider using lego's method of labeling bags. My 8 year old had to open nearly all the bags to start off and that meant we had about 1000 pieces on the table. 3 or 4 times I had to use an exacto knife to shave pieces so they would mate properly. I've had to do this in the past with other megabloks but never with lego's. I will definitely not buy any more large megabloks sets as they're too much trouble. My son has about a dozen large Lego sets and never had any issues. He has only 3 of the large megabloks sets and had issues with all 3. ... show more

Very disappointed with this product. Pieces were missing, pieces were mixed up in bags could not complete first assembly and I am an adult who has built many of these sets. Would not recommend this to anyone, unless you had lots of time and space to work with.

  • Megabloks Halo UNSC Elephant
My 12 year old son LOVED this Christmas gift very much! As soon as he could he began to put it together and it looks fantastic.

  • It's going to take a LONG time...
First off, this is the largest Lego-type model I've ever bought. I got it for my boyfriend for Christmas, and wound up giving it to him last night, because I was too excited to wait any longer. It's a good thing, because it'll probably take him 'til Christmas to put it together. Not only is it GIGANTIC, but it's extremely detailed. There are so many intricate pieces - and none of the bags are labeled. Not one. Not only that, but the pieces are mixed. For example - you open a bag that looks like it has a few pieces for step 1. Well, it does, but it also has pieces from steps 2 - 15. It's going to take a very, very long time to sort through all the parts to finish this one. And he's not new to Lego/Mega Bloks - he's got quite a few other large models, and though this one is a fair bit larger, the non-labeled bags are going to make this quite a process. It took him about 30-45 minutes just to put the Mongoose together last night - and by the end of that short experience, he was a bit frustrated. He'd opened 3 or 4 of the bags, at that, just to get the little Mongoose built. On the plus side, the pieces themselves look fantastic. They're well-painted, well-built, and articulated just enough to make them more interesting than the Lego brand people. Plus, they're Halo. Doesn't get much better than that. I considered giving it 3 stars, simply because of the hassle/ridiculousness of not labeling the bags, but to be honest, it's a unique model that will look great in the 'Nerd & Geek' collection we've got going. It's definitely more of a display model - can you imagine the 10+ hours of building that this will take, only to have it taken apart in 20 minutes? I'm sure it's loads of fun to play with, but he/I/we won't be rebuilding this. Once and done. 4 stars. EDIT: Well, he finally finished building it on the 10th. Didn't take as long as expected, because once he got into the swing of 'picking-and-choosing' the needed pieces, it went a little smoother. Still took longer than expected, but obviously this IS a larger set. I'd say about 12 hours, total. Just a couple/few hours every night or so. Next is the Forward Unto Dawn. I bet that'll drive him nuts. ;) ... show more
