It looks great lit up and if no one is looking too closely. Material wrapped around the tree is a cheap plastic or some kind of masking tape. I really like the aesthetic, but I’m disappointed in how cheaply it feels and looks upon closer inspection. Still good for winter decor.

Arrived well packed. I have another smaller one I bought somewhere else. The other one has formed plastic (looks very nice) these unfortunately have a wide white tape with black spots. Does NOT look good during the day! Imagine wrapping base and where branches connect with duct tape. At night However they are very pretty, bright and taller than I thought. I do like them. I won't buy again. I'll look more carefully next time. I added red cardinals to branches, haven't figured out how to hide tape areas. I do enjoy them at night and the timer is nice. ... show more

We saw a similar product at Costco at Thanksgiving for $140, didn’t buy it, and later regretted not buying one, so we turned to Amazon and found this product for $50 so we jumped in. It is a great buy for the price, went together easily and works and looks great. The faux birch wrap isn’t bad, better than I expected. But note that the lights on this tree are a cool white, not a warm incandescent color. And the cord emerges from the trunk midway down…a better design would have it emerge from under the base. So that’s the difference, for more $ you might find one with better "birch bark", warmer lights, and a more hidden cord - but I’m quite happy with our Solstice Tree and plan on leaving it up through the dark days of winter. ... show more
