  • Humidity works great.. with some tweaks!
I bought one to try it out, and then bought another later on. I really like these incubators. The humidity was really hard to figure out, but I have it down now. I took the rubber stopper out completely from the bottle, along with the wick. The only way I get it to work well is to: 1-unplug the humidifier from the incubator, 2-fill the plastic bottle, 3-put the humidity base on without anything added, 4-turn it over and set it into the top of the incubator, 5-then plug it in and watch for bubbles as a sign that it's working well once it lights up. The reason the humidity bottle doesn't work right is because of the vacuum that the rubber creates is too strong. The same thing happens if there is extra water in the base after you turn it over. But if you turn it over quickly it doesn't form the vacuum suction that stops it from working. I really hope this helps anyone who is having trouble with the humidity system, it works like a charm once you know the trick to it. I've had really good hatch rates with all four hatches so far using these incubators. And the guide that came with it on hatching days and humidity/temperature recommendations was strange to me, but I decided to follow it. Again, I've had great hatch rates, so I'll continue using the guide. I even hatched Call Duck eggs in one, and they are notorious for being difficult to hatch. I'm very happy with my purchases, especially since I figured out how to make the humidity work better. Will probably buy a few more eventually. ... show more

  • . Did not last :(
I hatched 22 eggs out with ease and no issues. I then just now plugged it back in to start my 2nd batch and the light flashed on shut immediately off and now will not come back on. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I thought this was going to be my greatest Amazon purchase to date.

  • Great value for occasional use
I've hatched Toulouse goose eggs and Indian Runner duck eggs with this incubator. Both hatches were 100% successful, after removing eggs that did not grow by day 14. I used a digital hygrometer/thermometer, rather than rely on the incubator settings. Humidity was higher than the incubator display and temperature was lower. Head clearance is low for hatching geese, but it worked. Over the years, I've used other inexpensive incubators for ducks, guinea fowl, and geese. This is by far the easiest to use, especially with the automated humidity control. It is easy to make small adjustments that affect outcome. This is a low-end model and the price reflects it. I have had more expensive incubators fail, with disastrous results. I bought a second one as a backup in case of failure and still spent less than I would have on other models that do less. The Styrofoam packaging doubles as insulating material and the clear dome allows for visual inspection, as well as temperature and humidity checks without removing the lid. The Indian Runner duck eggs are a little smaller than most duck breeds. I just started another hatch and was able to load 28 eggs. ... show more

  • Humidity stopped working other than that. It was amazing.
This was my first ever incubator it hatched 11 out of 12 duck eggs which was awesome but at day 16 the humidity stoped working so I had to fill up the water compartment many times a day but other than that it worked great the temperature held steady and I would probably buy it again and I love that it can a accommodate most eggs from quail to ducks, peafowl, guineas and other larger eggs like that❤️🤗 ... show more

  • Use 1/4th of the wick. It'll work
This works perfectly after you cut the wick a 1/4th and use the 1/4th. Its to long so it won't keep the humidifier going. I have 2 and after I cut them. And keep water in the track, there's a hole for that. It runs perfectly. They're recommended from me at least. Have to tinker and tweek it a bit. I thought it was broken. I cut a hole in the bottle, thinking it wasn't breathing. But it was the wick. I have 2 incubators going rn. A week apart. I can't wait. ... show more

  • Looks great… wish it worked like it is supposed to work Looks great… wish it worked like it is supposed to work
Holds 28 eggs. Great for chicken eggs. The spaces a bit small for duck eggs - it fit my Indian Runner Eggs, but not my Ancona. I was excited about the Humidity Control, I loved that it sat on top and calibrated everything, but after it ran out of water and I refilled it, it kept coming apart (with the spring coming out) and it was frustrating putting it back together. By the 3rd refill (around day 11), the humidity stopped being consistent and kept dropping to the 30’s. I have been adding water manually, but concerned that it will affect the hatch rate (it does not beep to tell me as others have, I just have to check it). Temp has stayed consistent. I also with it would say the day it is on as I keep having to check my calender. My friend got hers a week earlier and she stated the height inside was an issue when they started hatching. It was great for her chickens but worried my Indian Runnwe Ducks might hit their heads. The candler worked when I got it, I plugged it in, and on Day 8 when I went to use it, it did not light up. I used the candler that was attached to my other lamp incubator to check. On a good note, 24 of 28 were showing veins, but that was also prior to the humidity to losing effectiveness. I shall know soon. I just pulled the turner out and am hoping for lovely ducklings. Unfortunately, from arrival to hatch will be over 30 days, so if it does not work it is simply a loss. We shall see. ... show more

  • Humidifier is difficult to operate, a bit too fussy!
The style is nice, the bottle of water being located on the top instead of the side keeps things tidier. I bought this particular one because I really like the placement of the water bottle. However, this incubator is fairly hands on because of the humidifier. It's very finicky. You have to fiddle with it a lot and keep an eye on it. Sometimes the humidifier just drips instead of misting like it should. So it just drips on the eggs. Or it doesn't release moisture at all. Currently it's 15 points below the humidity setting it should be at. No idea why. Tried everything that has worked before but maybe it's just not a good design to have it be so particular in how you adjust it to make it actually work. I don't really trust it to be dependable. ... show more

  • Humidifier has issues
I loved this when we first got it. Seemed so simple and easy to start incubating. We have not had a good turn out though and the humidifier has totally stopped working and hatch has been very not successful. We have had 4 of 20 eggs so far to hatch. I hope we are able to get at least the 50% hatch rare which is horrible for a new incubator. Meet has not answered my messages and nothing so I would never recommend their products, and will never buy again ... show more
