  • Nice looking with ease of use...Just what my parents needed.
Ordered this for my 85 year old mother after she suffered a stroke. Dad is also elderly but relatively strong for 87 year old. This is used to get mom to and from dr. appointments. He finds it easy to collapse and get into the car after rolling mom to the door. She doesn't need to roll herself around, but if she ever did need to steer or roll herself, it moves pretty well. Lesser weight than some of the ones we looked at online and in person at a hospital supply store. Mom and Dad feel she is very safe and comfortable in this chair. Size was just right as mom is 5'4" and 160 lbs. Very well made. Worth the price. ... show more

  • my new best friend
was finally ready to start using a wheelchair after years of resisting. i like that this one has brakes not only for the wheelchair user, but for the person who might be pushing, or if i decide to use it more like a walker. i wish that the wheel you use to propel yourself was a little more spaced away from the wheels, but i managed to get myself around an event for a couple hours w/no issue. overall a good for for me. might not be good for larger people though. i think it’s weight limit is just a little over 200#. ... show more

  • Just buy it!!!! Great wheelchair for full time user
I received this wheelchair one week ago today. Thus far, I am in love with it! I can’t do a final review yet, because have not yet tested it on outdoor ramps. If it passes the ramp test, it’s a keeper. The original set up for this wheelchair had the back rest and the seat disconnected from each other, with the angle of the seat causing me to lean backwards. It was a very unsettling, feeling going over any bumps at all, because there was a tendency for the back to become tippy. Luckily, there is a flap at the back of this wheelchair. It’ll allow you to connect the back of the wheelchair to the seat of the wheelchair with some very heavy duty very wide Velcro. Once I discovered this hidden feature, was able to adjust the seating to keep me level versus feeling like I would tip over backwards. If someone prefers to be slightly forward leaning in the wheelchair, it can be adjusted via this Velcro connection to lean forward slightly, which helps with maintaining erect posture. The wheels are only 20 inches instead of the standard 22 to 24 inches on a more traditional wheelchair. This means the seating will put you 2 to 4 inches lower than the standard wheelchair. It is very easy to push and the wheels leave zero marks in my home. Will update this after wheeling around outside when the weather improves, to determine if difference in wheel size will make a significant difference in function. The weight of this wheelchair is actually 21 pounds not 22. It’s about half the weight of my old wheelchair, and far more functional. The wheels pop off and pop on for transporting in any vehicle, they weigh 5 pounds apiece, so it reduces the weight of the frame to 11 pounds. It is extremely well made. This manufacturer knew exactly what they were doing, and must have consulted with a full-time wheelchair, user, or the designer actually uses a wheelchair or consulted with a wheelchair user. Thus far, this is the best wheelchair I’ve ever owned. Fits all my needs and many of the extras that I thought would be helpful or included on the wheelchair.. I am in love with this thing and feel it is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. $399 is a steal for the quality of this product. I have not been paid nor solicited to provide this review. At the time of purchase there was only one single review online, from someone who received the product for free in exchange for a review. Am providing this review to help people choose between the myriad of wheelchairs available at Amazon. This would be my absolutely top choice wheelchair even if I were to buy from a brick and mortar store. JUST BUY IT!!!! ... show more

  • If it breaks, you’re screwed
I’d give it more stars but one of the spring latches that hold the foot rests broke less than 4 months into owning it. We’ve tried searching the manufacturer website and contacting them directly with no luck. None of our local shops have been able to help as it’s a one-off part. So now less than a year after buying it, it’s going in the trash. Buyer be warned. ... show more

  • wheel diameter too small for standard handrim cover...
wheel diameter too small for standard handrim grip cover... pushing the cost up over 500% because it is an odd diameter... back of chair has big opening where seat meets back... causing any lumbar cushion to fall out...

  • A tad small
Thanks so much. I love it. Can't get over the light weight. If anything it's a tad bit smaller than expected. Both height and width. But that's ok. That just helps with maneuvering. No assembly. Just pull it out and open it up

  • 20” wheels are a problem
Make sure you compare rear wheel sizes when shopping. I got this for my adult daughter. She is very petite at 5’2”. We had a Drive Blue Streak (24” rear wheels) but it is too heavy/bulky so she needed something lighter to use on her own. This one is light and she was able to lift it. However, with 20” wheels it is difficult to self propel. I am 5’4” and noticed immediately that I had to extend my arms back too far to “drive” it myself. My arms were bumping the arm rests and back of the chair just to move it. She had the same complaint but it is even more difficult for her with shorter arms. She is hypermobile so extending her arms back that far to self propel would probably result in joint injuries. This is a very nice wheelchair and very lightweight but I have to give it 3 stars because I have to return it. It does not work for shorter adults. It probably works better for people with longer arms. I was very disappointed because our primary objective was lightweight. I found another ultra lightweight chair with 22” wheels that works much better for her. ... show more
