  • A True Wheelchair!
In the 1990’s my wife needed a wheelchair, there won’t many choices. Heavy hospital equipment the could last for years with daily use and abuse. We spent about $800.00 in 1990’s dollars. It was time for replacement. The market has changed quite a lot. Super cheap to some powered ones that cost almost as much a my first car. Beware, the small wheeled cheapies will be uncomfortable to ride in and difficult to push over uneven surfaces. I believe they are better described as transfer or transport intended for short distances in side of buildings. If you needed to travel on parking lot or sidewalk surfaces avoid the small wheels. The wheelchair is worth every penny. Well designed with easy to use adjustments, lightweight, comfortable riding and a snap to collapse for storage in the trunk. ... show more

  • New wheel chair for mom
This is a beautiful chair that’s light weight and excellent quality.

  • EXTREMELY DANGEROUS - SUB-PAR BUILD - NO SUPPORT
So very dangerous to a patient or loved-one that must use a wheelchair. I am so thankful I fully reviewed and tested this MEDWARM wheelchair before giving it to my mom. The wheelchair is lightweight (as promised) and Made In China. The build quality is immediately evident in being of cheap soft metals, bolts and plastics. Thus, the longevity would appear to be a sort-lived wheelchair. There is a generic basic manual but you will not be able to find a address, email or phone contact. It appears with intention that those were left off. Thus, there is zero customer support if needed. There is no way to contact the seller/manufacturer if you had a need for warranty work. The back consisted of straps only. No solid piece of back support was included. You'll add the included cushion as back support. The bottom cushion is velcro installed. Overall, expect extensive build-quality issues. Parts not fitting. Dangerous risk for personal injury to the chair user as chair arms easily slip out of their locked position. SEE PHOTOS. Inspecting the chair, I quickly found pieces such as the armrest that would not match up to the body to secure the patient (see photos). In fact, the arm simply fell to the floor. The rear connector and the front connector would not stay in place or engage into the slots. In fact, they wouldn't even match up (see photos). Much to my regret, this isn't a chair worth consideration at all. It's grossly overpriced for its severe lack of quality and workmanship. It has no way to address its claimed warranty. The firm (Medwarm) has made it impossible to contact them by omitting any sort of contact information. Most of all, it's a safety risk to a wheelchair user. ... show more

  • Wheelchair
It's a comfortable wheelchair. I like that the arm rests are adjustable and that the tires look like bicycle tires.

  • Sharp edges on the bracket the arms clip in.
Overall a well-built chair. My husband is right side deficient. He needs assistance w transfers but does not need foot supports. The bracket that holds the footrest can wound the patient if not careful. It can be removed. Also the bracket that holds the arm in place has sharp edges and can not be removed. Keep this in mind with a patient with thin skin or limited feeling in extremities. Other than that the chair has worked well in the week we've had it. ... show more

The frame broke within 2 weeks of purchase. UPDATE - The seller reached out to me concerning my review. They wanted to make it right. After providing them pictures of the damage, they refunded my money. The seller's customer service made my day.

  • Sturdy
I purchased this for my mom and she loves it! It was easy to assemble because it’s pretty much already done. I love the fact that the seat cushion has Velcro to make it safer for one to slide in and out of the chair. The cushion stays in place but it can be a pain because you have to take the cushion off to fold up to put into the car. I am hoping the Velcro doesn’t get worn down from repeatedly having to do that but other than that the chair is lovely. It’s sturdy, stylish, easy to safely tilt to get over curbs or doorways and it arrived fast ! ... show more

  • Not well engineered.
Many of parts could not be tighten to a point they would not wiggle. Not easy rolling and the hardest to push and almost the same if someone pushing of any wheelchair owned or pushed. Owned four different ones over the years and pushed many more. Wheelchairs more than most other products MUST be well engineered to seating comfort and movability than any other product I can think of. Comfortable setting is good, but moving is not. Isn't that why they are called Wheelchairs? Returned it after 4 days. Regards, Gil ... show more
