It's quick and easy to fold/unfold, and light enough for me to manage easily, and it fits in the trunk of Nissan Altima with room to spare. I especially like the swing-away footrests - no separate parts to wrangle. It gives my mom much more freedom to be out and about, which is great. One design improvement would be for the rear-wheel brakes to be foot-operable, instead of me having to bend down on each side to engage or release the brakes. Mom could reach them, with difficulty since she can't see them from where she sits, but that's not the way a transport chair is used. The cup holder is just okay. It attaches pretty firmly, which is good. But we had to be careful exactly where we put it, because the tightening knob got in the way of folding the seat. Plus, the cup container is way too wide for the usual water-bottle sizes that mom carries. At 3-3/4 inches wide and only 3 inches deep, it's very insecure for the water bottle (2-5/8 inches wide and 9 inches tall), and mom ends up carrying the bottle instead of trusting the cup holder. We'll continue looking for a better design. Wonder why the black frame costs more than the red frame? We'd rather have gotten black but it wasn't worth an extra $30. ... show more

((( 5 STARS ))) After the long awaited family vacation to Hawaii came to a close yesterday, my entire family and I all agreed this wheelchair needed an AMAZING REVIEW! My grandmother is unable to walk long distances due to her very arthritic knees and with a vacation like Hawaii (even though it was a week’s cruise), the wheelchair I searched for needed to be durable, lightweight, and easy to maneuver. I have to say it passed all tests this week! We went from airport to airport, sidewalk to gravel (some Hawaiian tours didn’t have smooth pavement), and even the beach! Granted the beach was trickier because the wheels dug in but the family and I came to realize you can do ALOT more if you pull backwards up difficult spots! Oh! Did I forget to mention it’s handles were not only great for pushing grandma around but also perfect for hanging beach bags, a baby supply book bag (we traveled also with a little one) and souvenirs?! This transport wheelchair was AMAZING and the bonus was the cup holder great for holding grandma’s water or fruity drink while on the cruise. Special shout out to my grandma’s physical therapist who suggested to find a transport wheelchair because it would be better on the cruise than the big bulky one. Actually purchased to let dad set closer to dining room table but works great all over the house and out on the patio. He is able to maneuver himself somewhat using his feet. Also gets into and out of the chair at the table with minimal assistance.

Feels solid. Lightweight. Foot holders go on and off easily and can stay attached and swing out of the way AND are held out of the way by clips. Folds easily. Is essentially fully assembled when it arrives'; attach the foot rests and the cup holder.

Can’t beat the price or build quality. Needs larger-diameter wheels though; hard to clear anything boggle than a pebble. That said, indoors or on flat sidewalks it’s great.
