This was cheaper than I found anywhere else including the center I was in. I love this chair! The one I had was a horrible experience supplied by my insurance and they just got me the cheapest. I paid for this one myself and it was well worth it.

    • It sucks! The arms don't remain securely in place.
I almost returned this chair. When I opened it there were screws falling out of it. I kept it because I am an amputee and I hate for my stump to get rubbed by the big tire. The sides on this one cover the leg area fully and prevents this problem. On to the bad side of it: the screws still fall out occasionally. The arms of the chair pull out of their socket/anchor spot at the most inopportune times nearly causing me to fall from the chair. Its like the arms are not long enough to engage properly. Works very well. I added a 2" memory foam car seat cushion the exact size of the seat which makes it comfortable for long periods of time. The leg lifts work great. The chair has a sturdy feel and goes over carpet well. Before I had an 18" transport wheelchair (push just with my feet) which I was able to get around corners between rooms in the house. I thought that since this product is another 18" wheelchair I could do the same, but the outer wheels used to move the chair add width, and I could not navigate in and out of the bathroom and bedrooms.     • Cheap and too small for a 5'9" person.

Everything about it looks and feels cheap. Now that might be expected because any experience I have had with a wheelchair probably cost a lot more. However, I have doubts that it could last 6 months without needing some type of repair. Fortunatly I only need it for two months. The first issue is that the hard, shiny tires do not grip. When going over any bump or onto a rug, the wheels slip on the floor. What particularly warranted the low rating is that I bought this because I am having knee surgery. After the surgery, my leg will be in a brace. I need the leg support to hold my leg straight out. However, I do not fit between the back of the seat and the end of the leg support. I am only 5'9". If the extendable leg adjustment were an inch longer, it would have been fine. My surgery is in two days, so I don't have time to return it and get a different one. I ordered a 3 inch coushon and without my shoe on, I just barely fit. It will do, but not well. ... show more
