  • Sturdy chair with wide seat.
I bought this for a recent plane trip to Las Vegas to celebrate my granddaughter‘s 21st birthday. Although I can walk, we got this because I certainly could not keep up with a bunch of excited 21year-olds. There was no problem taking it on the plane, and although it’s fairly heavy (as am I) neither my daughter nor my granddaughter had any trouble pushing it. Although it was too heavy for me (I’m 78) to put it in my SUV without help, my daughter could do it without much difficulty. The seat was wide and comfortable for an overweight person, and it was really great to have somewhere to sit while waiting in lines. When we went out to eat, the design of the chair enabled it to fit easily under the table. ... show more

  • Great chair!
Well made and perfect for larger people. Wide seat, very comfortable and sturdy. A little heavy for some but worth it for the rider. Pretty color blue, collapsible and great price. Well done MedLine!

  • At 5'10 400lb BEST wheels I've
I'm so happy with this purchase. Chair collapses so easily to fit in the back seat of any sedan sized car. Bought it for my family member who weighs over 400 pounds and stands at 5'10. They have comfortable sitting space, and report feeling the chair is solid and safe as we roll. 5 stars. Love the blue color, too. ... show more

  • Lightweight
Great chair, lightweight, easy to maneuver but not as wide as I'd hoped.

  • Heavy duty transport chair!
I love the Heavy Duty Transport Chair. It is much easier to miniver around with the larger wheels on the back.

  • Great chair!
The chair arrived on time and in great condition. It was completely assembled, so all I had to do was take it from the box. Wheels roll easy on hardwood and tile. Haven't tried it on sidewalks yet, but I don't expect any problem because the wheels roll like the caster wheels on luggage......easy turning with these spinning wheels. Some reviewers mentioned having the foot rest break. I can see that could easily happen if much pressure was put on them because they are plastic. The chair is very easy to fold with straps on each side of the seat to grab and lift the seat up so the chair folds. It is 48 pounds, so requires some strength to lift up into a car. Short people may want a back rest pillow, as the depth of the seat is longer than my knees to butt (5ft tall person), so there is a space of 3 inches between my back and the seat back. Both sides can be removed for easy transfers. ... show more

  • Large and sturdy
Very pleased with quality. Sized for a larger person. Instructions for adding on foot rest were terrible but still easily done. The arm rest were a problem. The padded area was back at the elbow area and short. I want the forearm to rest at the front of the chair, were turned them around but the chair would not collapse this way. We took the pads off the arm rest, swapped them left to right, put the arm supports back on in the front, and now it's perfect. I would highly recommend this chair despite needing to make adjustments. If you are under 150 lbs, it would be too big. ... show more

  • False Advertisement
WARNING TO ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS CHAIR: This product is being advertised on Amazon as supporting up to 500 lbs, which is one of the main reasons I purchased it. After contacting Medline directly for warranty support, I was informed by the MANUFACTURER that the actual weight rating of this chair is only 450 lbs. That means the Amazon listing contains incorrect and misleading safety specifications on a medical mobility device. A 50 lb difference is NOT a small typo when you are dealing with bariatric equipment and user safety. Weight capacity is a critical factor for stability, durability, and injury prevention. People rely on these specifications when purchasing mobility equipment for themselves or loved ones. If someone purchased this chair believing it safely supported 500 lbs because of the listing, that could create a serious safety concern. I strongly recommend that buyers verify the actual specifications directly with Medline before purchasing. Amazon needs to immediately correct this listing and ensure accurate safety information is being provided to customers. ... show more
