  • Not certified cabling, certainly not to the claimed cat 6 standard! Do NOT BUY!
Size: 5 feet Color: 5 Feet, 5-Pack (Multi-Color)
I bought a 5 pack of these to use on a rack between a switch and a PoE bar. Could not get the AP to connect at 1000 Mb/s, only 100 Mb/s. One out of five cables were bad, not a good ratio. These cables come with no testing or certification to any cabling standard. The only standard claim the seller makes is "TIA/EIA 568B.2" which is simply the pairing order of the wires and nothing more. There is no coding on the cable jacket for certification because there is none. Would not buy again. ... show more

  • They seemed like good cables but two of them have already failed
Size: 10 Feet Color: Multi-Colored
They seemed like good cables but two of them have already failed. I have one cable connecting my alarm system and one cable on a desktop computer. The alarm system was going offline multiple times a day and the desktop was only getting 40Mbps on a 500Mbps network. I replaced both cables and both issues resolved themselves instantly. I would recommend a different brand. ... show more

  • These are the cables you want. These reviews are actually genuine, IMO.
Size: 10 Feet Color: Multi-Colored
I've been through what seems like an endless variety of patch cables from various manufacturers that all seemed like they were the same cable with a different name on it. The reason I went with these was due to the quality of the product reviews, as well as the supplier Mediabridge, as shown to me via a Fakespot.com analysis. I always run my Amazon purchases through this site first and no I have zero affiliation with them or Mediabridge. Paid the full price like everyone else. They gave the product reviews quality a B grade and the company an overall B grade on all their product's reviews not just these cables. Those two grades are normally good but when it comes to patch cables a B grade is great considering all the misinformation and fake 5 star reviews out there. The cables themselves I am quite happy with. I have had them in service now for about four months and they are rock solid. I like the fact that they are all black, which helps with hiding them in my home lab, while still having colored ends to help identify the connections on my switch. I also like the fact that the boot is snagless but doesn't hamper you from removing the cable. I hate the molded boots that seem to never want to come out of a dense rack. These do not do that and the overmolded boot is actually useful. TL;DR: these are the ones you want. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Cat 6 cables? by Mediabridge
Size: 7FT Color: Black
I am not a technician nor do I have the ability to test if these cables are up to Cat 6 standards. For that matter, I have no idea if these cables meet any standard at all. All I can tell you is that these are working fine for us. We have purchased a dozen of these cables so far. Each come in an excellent, durable, reclosable bag that has a tear tab above the zip reclose part. Like reclosable plastic bags. They also have included 1 reusable velcro strip to hold your cables together. I found that wifi just doesn't hold up to demands of various devices for downloads and updates. Ethernet is so much faster for downloading and uploading to hard wired devices. We live in the Columbus, Ohio area and our cable service provider is quickly working to upgrade our services to meet the 1 Gig and beyond. Where we live we are up to 400 mbps if we pay the extra fee for it. We currently have 200+mbps download and 24+mbps upload. Before I had Cat 5 cables and our speeds were at 100 mbps. ( verified constantly by Speedtest.net ) It used to take us hours ( yes, literally ) to update our gaming systems and games via wifi. But when I switched everything I could to ethernet, holy moly, what a difference! I did an update for Star Trek online that was nearly 5 gigabytes in just a few minutes. I wish I had timed it but I was so used to walking away on updates that when I came back with my cup of coffee, it was already finished! It took longer to wait for the update to run and install than to download! We really like these cables and so far we have not had any issues with any of the cables we have. I had to order more to replace the cables provided by Spectrum. We run 1 Playstation 2, 3 and two PS4's. 1 Roku, 2 4k Sony bravia's, 1 personal computer and now they all run so much faster. Gaming is faster with less lag ( almost none ) and rubber banding than before except for that Star trek game. Oy what a pain, that game has so much lag time! I have the 7 foot model cables and so far, so good. The picture quality is so much better than before and that's not just gaming. We use Amazon video, Britbox, Netflix, Viki and a number of free video streaming services and the picture and audio quality is very crisp, clear and no pixelation like before. I hope this helps. ... show more

  • GREAT Ethernet Cable
Size: 7FT Color: Black
Have been having terrible Internet connection issues with new computer. NEVER have had issues being disconnected in the many years with the Internet provider. First blamed it on the new HP computer running Windows 10 but after 2 months of issues seems it is my Internet provider (which I will be dropping after no help from them) that is the problem. Anyway, I did much investigation on my own and one of the things I read about was the Ethernet cable. I had replaced the router, the phone line, and decided to replace the Ethernet cable I had for many years. I chose this one. I don't believe the cable was the issue, and issue is not completely solved, but I'm very glad I purchased this cable. Less than 30 seconds to connect to browser and computer (I've hot wired everything ). This is a VERY sturdy cable and snapped right in where it was supposed to. High recommend it. ... show more

  • Same speed as a 5e not a single MB faster .. Garbage
Size: 5 feet Color: Black
I was using this from my 24x8 linksys modem to my belkin 1900 "BEST" dual band router and it is no faster than the free 5e cable that came with a used time Warner 8x4 modem that was free and i have had over 5 years . This should have been free even 1$ is over priced as it is just a 5e it does not increase speeds and the plastic tabs that are made to "not break " when swapping from router to x box or to modem are flexible but feel like that will break at any time and i treat them like they are glass so fragile . I am a little OCD so sorry but thats the only reason they are not broken . I really want to just cut it open to see if there is any difference from the 5e standard and this CAT6 Their picture showed a nice shielded set of wires but i doubt it if anything I got a bad one or they are all junk ... show more
