When i first got it i thought it was gonna be too difficult for my dad who is 76. But he used it this morning with his keto bread an it came out perfect for him and he said it was super easy to use. I used it later an it was perfect for my bagel also but i did pop it in for a extra min cuz it got cold sitting which is why in the photo its dark. The only thing i dont like is that it gets very hot so i have to move it out away from everything when using it but i dont mind.

This toaster is AMAZING, it literally has all the bells and whistles you can ever imagine. We put a piece of white toast in and used the setting based on the chart, and it came out perfect! The buttons show the different levels of darkness so you can't go wrong. My old toaster was a Delonghi and I had a dial with hashmarks, and would have to always tweak it based on the bread and usually would burn the first piece or it was under toasted, and could only toast two pieces at a time. For our family of four, we can toast all at the same time for all of us. This one literally toasts perfectly every time from the beginning. LOVE the waffle setting for my daughter, it makes it soo easy and perfect as well. It surprisingly doesn't take up that much counter space, just a bit more than a standard toaster. It look beautiful and fancy on the counter too. My favorite appliance!!

The media could not be loaded. This is a decent toaster, for the price, and a slight upgrade from my old one. The body is very thin stainless and will dent very easily. In general the construction is just ok. The touch screens are nice but don't really look like touch screens. They kind of look like the still image of a touch screen used on demos. Don't get me wrong, it works very well but isn't like a smart phone screen. The handles for pushing down the carriages is the weakest part of this toaster und, unfortunately a visual focal point. They are made of really cheap plastic and are very flimsy. They aren't attached very well either, they are loose and sit at every angle but horizontal. They don't feel as if they will last very long. In fact, this is my second toaster after returning one with a really messed up handle Toasting is good, The bread was toasted evenly on all three settings I tried. I used white bread for all my tests. The lowest setting toasted the bread without any visible coloring. The middle setting was probably the darkest I would go, you can see the result on top of the plate in my picture, I will probably use something between the bottom and the middle. The darkest setting is basically for those who would like their toast burnt as seen on the bottom of the plate in my picture. All in all, for the price, a decent, smart looking toaster.

Every toaster I have owned as an adult somehow becomes possessed by Satan himself. The timer either breaks and everything burns. Or it doesn't get hot enough to toast. I even had one fly off the counter before. My toaster I had would burn the toast no matter what you did so you would have to sit and watch it. You couldn't take your eyes off of the thing. We had been talking about getting a 4 slice toaster for our family size and just because we were done babysitting the possessed toaster. I snagged this one and the touch screen feature seems so futuristic. I like that you can choose what type of bread you're toasting and then you select how you want to toasted. You're able to see the countdown of how long it will take until it's done. It has been a great toaster so far and I hope it stays that way.

I was reading an article on The Verge that headlined "Why a toaster from 1949 is still smarter than any sold today!" This was about the Sunbeam T-20 series, which featured a thermostat that actually measured the temperature of the bread while toasting. The toaster thus knew that when it reached certain temperature, the bread would be toasted in a certain way. So you could put in stale bread, frozen bread, wet bread, any kind of bread, and until it got to the right temperature, it would remain in the toaster. The article, followed by one in the New York Times, caused the price of these used toasters on eBay to skyrocket. They have since fallen back, but they will still likely run you around $225. What does this have to do with the Mecity 4 Slice Toaster? Well, I'm not certain, but I suspect that Mecity has rediscovered that technology from the past. The listing notes that toasting bread after you've already toasted one round, will take considerably less time. Now the only way I can figure that they can determine the proper time is to have something similar to the Sunbeam thermostat. All of which is a long introduction to this fine toaster, that gives you choices galore, in addition to being very handsome. It accommodates bread of all sizes, defrosts, toasts bagels, reheats, has a special setting for gluten-free bread, and many other features. Whether it is a good deal or not depends on how long it lasts. Judging by my initial inspection, the quality seems to be built in, but only time will tell. I hope you will try this toaster, and I highly recommend it.
