Great for the price
Size: 22"(13')
We had a lot of trees blown over during a few storm so I bout this to turn the trees into a 32x20 timber framed utility building. By the time I milled the floor frame and the 3 bents the mill had paid for itself. I’ve completed the building and even milled the siding. There are some things that could be better. The bolts vibrate loose quite often. But for the money it’s great. The engine has started on the first pull every time. This mill takes 127” band blades. This is not a common size so you will have to use the mechmaxx blades or have blades custom welded. The mechmaxx blades definitely aren’t the best blades you can get and struggle in white oak. For custom length blades your choices are extremely limited. You can 144” blades from pretty much every manufacturer but with 127” blades I can only find Simonds and ripper 37’s. The ripper 37’s are really good. I haven’t tried the Simonds yet. ... show more

Mechmaxx Sm32 saw mill works great!
Size: 32"(13')
I recently purchased the mechmaxx 32 saw mill. I was worried that it might be flimsy and cheap, because the price was good. I opened the crate and was pleasantly surprised. The bolts are large, the metal is heavy duty. It went together well and it rolls perfectly on the tracks. I’ve already milled some large sequoia trees. Cuts real nice. Very happy with it. Update on my mechanics maxx 32" sawmill.
Size: 32"(13')
I have a updated review on my sawmill.the mechanics mass staff has been working with me on the problem. There was no problem with the choke on the engine. It was my fault.every thing is working fine now. This sawmill is worth every penny I spent on it. It is a heavy duty sawmill.I am sure I will get years of use out of it. I highly recommend this company. ... show more

gotten some nice boards out of it
Size: 26"(13')
I bought this back in February on Amazon and delivery was easy. Assembly was a little difficult as putting the saw onto the rails was challenging. I ended up using the bucket on my tractor to take some of the weight off. The saw has worked well so far. I've gone through 10 or saw logs and gotten some nice boards out of it. My main complaint is fairly trivial and it is the measuring ruler. If I'm not careful, it gets jammed when I raise or lower the device. It is a simple measuring ruler but they should have put a little more thought into keeping it out of the way while raising and lowering. I also don't understand how the hooks supplied with the sawmill work. I've ended up using wooden wedges and clamps to hold the wood in place. I have gone through two blades so far and both were ruined by user error. I would definitely buy several extra blades because you'll likely make the same mistakes I did. One time the tension was too loose and another time I hit the metal post that helps position the wood. I have a rule to double check the metal post each and every pass and the one time I forgot, I ruin the blade. Don't bother cutting with a ruined blade, it cuts but not well and the wood doesn't end up flat. Replacing the blades isn't difficult. The 26-inch uses a 144-inch blade which is a standard size. I bought the E-start and it has worked really well for me. So far, I have used regular gasoline with ethanol, same as I put in my car. It does backfire/pop occasionally when after the cut when slowing down. I may have to try rec-fuel without ethanol. A final thought, I bought the 26-inch because I didn't think I could physically move logs that were any bigger and I was right. I have cut up one 26-inch log and my tractor couldn't lift it without help and it took two of us with the tractor to position it. I did cut it up but it wasn't challenging. Keep in mind 26-inch logs are really heavy. I don't think the saw would be very useful without a tractor or some other way to easily move the logs. ... show more
