Update:::I was so happy with it but the Device already came loose from the bracket not sure how to reattach it i was really hoping it would hold longer than a couple days note i tried to use this with a heavy handheld device when it failed but for super light or small devices it worked fine. (I spoke with the seller and they are going to be making a bracket specifically for the legion lenovo go 2 and after I purchase that and see how it works I will update again. I was wanting one for my LENOVO LEGION GO 2 gen 2 Z2 extreme handheld and I did not see one so I grabbed the universal one. I could not be happier with this stand 5000% recommend. The LENOVO LEGION GO 2 is a very heavy handheld and this thing held it even with the controllers attached. Unlike other stands or docks this one allowed me to use the ports on the bottom of the device which was huge since the Lenovo legion go 2 gen 2 Z2 extreme has a usb c on the bottom I wanted to use my ar glasses with and couldn't using the built-in stand or a external dock but with it suspended in the air not only am i able to use all the ports but it also gets amazing airflow. Its not sitting in a dock or leaned against something. This stand is highly adjustable! You can turn the handheld in any direction up down left right huge range of motion and once you lock it in place it doesn't move or fall down it is so sturdy. The securing bracket that adheres to the back of the device stuck so well I peeled off the protectant film and stuck it to the back after cleaning the area with the included wipe and held it to the device for about 30 seconds. At first I was worried about attaching the device right away I wanted to give the bracket time to adhere but you really don't need to. It adhered immediately and it was ready to go and held my device perfectly no waiting needed. Attaching the ball and socket pieces were easy you just push it until it snaps in and you only have to assemble that piece once and it is easy to tighten and loosen and readjust its just a plastic piece with threads you tighten or loosen with your hand it is comfortable and was easy for me to loosen and tighten even with weak hand strength. I tried to show it in the images-the bracket that attaches to the arm that goes into the bracket on the back of the device is kind of spring loaded so it pops into place tightly and then after you get it in there you push in a little piece at the top of the bracket like a tab you push in and that locks it in again making the connection super secure and safe. You can rest easy knowing your $1,000 + handheld is safe and will not fall off or come loose at all even if you flip the stand over or hold it sideways! The up and down arm does require a INCLUDED allen wrench to tighten into place and loosen if you want it fixed in place. Once it is tightened it holds its place no matter how you move the stand. I REALLY LIKE THE BEAN BAG BOTTOM you can adjust the filling so the stand leans back or forward and tilt it that way without constantly adjusting the arm ect and it still stays in place. It is very versatile you could use this universal stand for just about anything! The cusion is heavy enough and sturdy enough it did not tip over even with it placed on a couch cushion and puppies playing atound it. It is very easy to move and relocate you can just about put it anywhere. I got a extra bracket set and i can use the same cushion for multiple devices like my tablet or 📱 phone! It's great for camping ⛺ and watching 🍿 movies on tablets I like using it for reading with tablets. Using it to watch instructional videos while working on something. It is well made and looks amazing nice leather material on top and the soft plush bean bag style bottom it really feels and looks like a premium well made product. And this is not some huge corporation this is a small team 🫂 who helped make gaming more accessible. I have a chronic condition and I can not always hold my devices and this product helped me continue to game and do what I enjoy despite my physical limitations and for me thats huge! Definitely give them your business you won't regret it. ❤️

Ok I really like this thing. I’ve had my eye on it for a while and finally decided to try it out. I wanted to order the kit for the PS Portal but it wasn’t on sale so I got the Steam Deck one. I have both devices but my Deck has A ModCase on it. So I also bought the ModCase adapter. The pillow is soft and filled with those foam beads but packed pretty tight to give it good shape. The arm is sturdy once I tightened up the screws with the provided Allen key. And man do I love the connection points (grip and mount). They are really simple and effective. But do you want to know what I love most? This is a small company that has a community. They have a group on discord where the owner is involved and takes recommendations for new products. And the best part…he puts files online where you can 3D print pieces for yourself. Since I didn’t get the Portal. Version I found his file and 3d printed my own adapter and bam, no matter which device I pick up I can use the pillow.

I got this when it was on sale for Prime Day since I was going to have surgery in my abdominal area which would make things very uncomfortable when sitting up for a while. This purchase ended up being arguably one of my smartest in quite some time. Very comfortable while sitting up in bed with the pillow spreading out the weight so it sat comfortably even over my incision area. Also very easy on the wrists by supporting my Switch and my ROG Ally XBox, the latter of which is chunky. This thing also had the unexpected pleasant side effect of me doing less shrimp curling when playing in bed since I could angle it to be comfortable at eye level so my back got a bit of a break, too. If I have a complaint, it's that I periodically have to readjust the arm but that's largely because I have a bad habit of pulling it down. Probably could be fixed with a few extra twists of the provided Allen wrench but I like keeping it slightly loose so I can fold it down easily for storage. Overall, very happy with this pillow and the Mechanism ecosystem as a whole!

Update: Upon the second use, less than 12 hours of owning it, the sub-3d printer plastic used for these ghastly overpriced items FUSED the teeth of the head assembly together so there’s no way to even get it off anymore or loosen/tighten it. The plastic could not even withstand a 1 lb weight of a tablet. Prior to the break, I put a pillow case on it and tried to use it with a phone but even with a lightweight device the head and arm (which is about half as long as it needs to be) can only ever be too loose or too tight. I have put up with absurd design flaws from this company for a while, paid too much for products that consistently underdeliver, but this is unforgivable. - - - I buy this by mistake and try to cancel the package, but it immediately “ships” so it cannot be cancelled. I have to ship it back at my expense if I want a refund. Ugh. Anyways, the pillow itself is very odd. Made of some polyester material that is incredibly itchy, and I Hope to God I will not get hives. No breathability whatsoever. Very short, about the same height as laying something on your chest close up, but from slightly farther away. This is Apple levels of redundant for an obscene price for what you end up getting. Arm is very tight and the head is very loose so any adjustments usually involve the item being ripped off the arm. There’s no setting on the arm with the Allen wrench that totally alleviates this. Trying this with the too-weak magsafe adapter lead to a frustrating benny hill sketch starring me for ten minutes before gave up and realized the arm somehow is more stable backwards than the intended way. Trying with the switch 2 I find that at its best this is the same comfort as just resting the device on my stomach with a tenth of the convenience, $100 more expensive, and a terrible feeling on my skin wherever this fabric touches. Whoever is laughing at this sketch, it isn’t me. The adapter on the base for a phone or battery pack requires another accessory not included. It’s a miracle the head for the arm and an Allen key is included (though it had only two settings “immobile” and “falls off”) at this point. No instructions for how to take the pillow off to wash it. This would be an instant return if the company wasn’t a bit too clever in their “anti-return policy.” Perhaps this attention could have been made into product design instead. At least it looks nice. Light too. Minimal effort needed to shove this in the corner of the room to never be used again.

This is a little pillow with a sturdy arm attached, which holds your favorite handheld gaming system as you play. You know that, because this thing is heavily advertised everywhere, even on my wife's phone for some reason. We all know what it does, so the question is, do you need it? The pillow itself is soft Lycra filled with extra soft foam grain. It's really soft and squishy, is the point. The top is a faux leather and the arm is a hard plastic. The joints are nice and tight which keeps your game elevated and in place. Whatever joint issues existed in the past as noted in other reviews appear to have been corrected. At first I found the thick pillow was sitting way too high on my lap, but squashing the pillow flatter alleviated that a bit. I still have to prop my elbows on some couch cushions to get a proper grip. Perhaps someone with longer arms won't have such an issue. Once properly situated, I do find using the pillow relieves much of the arm and neck strain that comes from either holding my systems up, or leaving it directly on my lap. I used to cut my sessions short due to the discomfort, now I can pay longer. I can sit up or lay a bit flatter, adjust the arm and squash the pillow to find a variety of comfortable positions. Mechanism makes attachments to fit a large number of handheld gaming systems, as well as a "universal" sticky mount for tablets and such. I have one for the Steam Deck and for the OG Switch and both work and change easily and perfectly, however the cases i have for both don't fit the mounts and must be removed. My issue is my cat. She is very attached to my lap and gets very upset when the pillow takes her spot. I've started to train her to lay on my knees and one she gets the hint, perhaps the guilty looks will cease. Overall, I like the pillow very much and use it every day. My cat, not so much, but at least they don't claw it or knock it over. It's it necessary? No. Will it improve your couch gaming experience? Yes, most definitely.

This was a great item, but I've got two minor changes I would personally like. 1. The entire thing is extremely light. Which most wouldn't think is a bad thing, however I use the pillow for gaming with a steamdeck, which is much heavier than the pillow (which is less than 2lbs). The pillow ends up falling over if I'm not sitting it at a specific angle. 2. The adjusters are changed by an alon wrench, which has no easy storage. I use it mostly on my bed, and I don't keep an alon wrench close. I would prefer if there were knows to adjust with my hands rather than have a tool.

Takes some adjusting with screws to hold up the steam deck but after that, works really well. The quality is really nice, much nicer than I expected from a two person company and it’s super comfortable to use in bed too. Amazing Amazing Amazing! I was a bit skeptical at first but having used it for a bit now I can say this is hands down the most confortable way to spend my weekends in bed, gaming. I have my steam deck in a killswitch case and with an adapter it holds on rock solid on the arm. The pillow is soft and can accommodate so many positions for hours. Totally worth every penny.
