Putting together was fairly easy, but there are 2 major issues you may need to address depending on your intended use: First problem is the realization that there is no chord hole to run wires up to a tv. You have four choices to run wiring, run inside the wall behind, run out underneath and up the side, cut a hole in the top or shim it out with a gap. I chose the last and it worked for my needs. I used some .5”x4’ pieces of wood, cut to about 33” and secured to bracket from both ends leaving me with around a 5” gap in the middle. I did have to run larger plugs between wall and bracket before securing to wall as once attached it is only .5” width to work with. You will need to fashion a small shim to the bottom edges, i will be using excess board to make something better long term, currently just some scraps are in place. Second issue, its going to get too hot in there running a game system. It seemed with an open front this wouldnt be an issue, but heat seems to trap in the top. I bought a 2 pack of usb fans, cut holes in the back top corners out of sight and its working to blow air out the back. Depending on how much i run at a time, i may consider dual fans in each compartment but time will tell. Otherwise this looks awesome and ive gotten a ton of compliments, just be prepared to do a little extra work. Also, if you see pictures of some with a smaller slit in the middle and cabinet edges showing underneath its because they installed the bottom front upside down, it should be level with the inside shelf. Improper hardware to put on wall even with studs. Not enough support in center. Whole shelf is bowed. Took forever because had to run to Home Depot to get the proper hardware. Looks cool with the lights

The stand is nice but the wall assembly portion is not sturdy or safe. We had to screw through the top of the stand into the wall just to make it a little bit secure. The back of the stand is cardboard so you can’t just screw the back to your wall.

Mounting system is just awful and not sturdy enough for this unit. Though the clips are adjustable, you really do need an absolutely flat wall to mount this to. Wall bracket definitely needs more wall anchors (and better) than what is provided. I had 4 studs behind the wall bracket and that wasn’t enough as unit pulled ends away from wall and bent bracket. After adding more screws via wall anchors, right to end holes, it still wasn’t enough. Ended up abandoning this and gave it away. I wouldn’t recommend this unit unless you use close spaced wall anchors or a different French Cleat system. Looks nice though as a unit itself. ... show more

Looked at a lot of the reviews before I bought this and I have to admit I was nervous just going off the reviews but I liked the look so I went for it and I’m very happy with my purchase! To be honest I was very frustrated with the assembly directions in that the pieces of wood did not come labeled and the instructions were very poor. For example, looking at all the reviewers who posted pictures only one person actually assembled it correctly (Zohrab Brogan). This is because the instructions are so poor!! Everyone else’s pictures (Majed, El CTdesign, Sydney Tenenbaum, D Rogers) all put the bottom piece of wood on wrong. Please refer to my final picture uploaded from manufacturer's website and all my pictures for correct depiction of assembly. I would also recommend that you seriously consider hiring a professional mounting company like I did because after reading all of the reviews it became apparent that additional brackets/ mounting materials were needed for some and could be needed for my installation as well. I have a small dog that loves to lie under furniture and did not want to worry about it falling off the wall and hurting her. So I went ahead and hired the aforementioned professional mounting company. This way if we ran into any problems they would have the materials on hand to fix/troubleshoot if need be to ensure stability. However, I am happy to report that no additional mounting materials were required. In addition, 6 screws come for the installation wall bracket but I only had 4 studs behind the wall bracket (so only mounted with four screws) and I think it looks great. The only thing I plan on doing is using some white caulking to fill in the 3mm gap you can see in the one picture from the side so that the floating wall unit looks completely flush with the wall. ... show more

The material are so easy to break, and the instructions are hard to understand, after I put all the pieces together and there is no more instructions on how to put it on the wall. Waste my money
