Works very well. I bought this slicer because it's much cheaper to buy cold cuts, cheeses, and hot pot or Korean BBQ meats in bulk and slice at home. For the same or lower price per pound, we get a much higher quality, made with better ingredients and better flavor, plus I get to decide the thickness of the slices. The slicer is capable of slicing a 6 pound ham, a 2 pound block of cheese, and 2 loaves of sourdough bread in under 15 minutes. Our family's daily breakfast sandwiches just got a huge upgrade. I did hear the gears skipping the first time I tried to slice cheese, but I figured out not to push so hard on it so it doesn't bind up the blade. After all, it's a home slicer not a $1500 professional slicer.

I received this as a gift, I requested, to slice meat for making beef jerky. I had purchased a beef jerky slicer, but it sliced the meat too thick and wasn’t adjustable. Using this I was able to get consistent thickness and the ability to adjust to any thickness I wanted, which is what I wanted to be able to do. I first sliced a top round that was in the freezer for 20 minutes or so. The meet squished as it went through the slicer – the cutting wheel pressed downward on the meat. The second top round I sliced was in the freezer for days. I took it out and put it in the fridge for 1 day – it was still frozen when I took it out. I was able to cut the semi-frozen top round perfectly. The slicer cut through the meet easily and I ended up with perfectly cut strips for making beef jerky. The slicer is easier to clean than my beef jerky slicer – very simple and quick. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a slicer and this one was priced in the range I felt was reasonable for what I wanted. It saves me time in cutting the meat and cleanup is quick also. Great little meat slicer. Performs as expected.

Used it to make Beef Jerky. It was easy to use. And it’s compact and light enough (7.5” blade) to carry and store. It was super easy to take apart and clean. The only complaint I have, is that it was a bit “sticky” and wasn’t as smooth moving as I would have liked. Otherwise, Cery Happy with my purchase.

Nice little meat slicer! Just right for home use very nice! We bought a smoked turkey breast and a nice piece of ham and we sliced it up all different thicknesses we also sliced cheese with it and it has a blade just for bread. I’m telling you we love it.

Be aware, the drive gear and blade gears are plastic. First time I tried to use it was on a deli brick of Swiss cheese. Not frozen, refrigerated, not thick 3-4 mm thick. Blade bogged down clicking noises resulted and I found out the drive gear stripped. I only discovered this because I noticed white "dust" below the blade that didn't match the cheese. Disassembled the device to find the stripped gear.

This is our first review of the Cusimax Food Slicer, and we will post a longer-term review if anything should change. For now, however, we are extremely pleased with it. It's easy to set-up, easy to use, slices accurately and quickly through beef and pork roasts. Soon we will be slicing our home-made breads, but if the meat slicing is any indication, we don't anticipate any problems with those either. This slicer combines the best size for storage in a modest kitchen, with the ease-of-use, and convenience of a quality product. The next step up, would cost $300 and be much more bulky. While a commercial-type unit would undoubtedly last longer, using it would be inconvenient and difficult due to the much larger "footprint." This slicer is plenty fast for home use, and runs long enough for two roasts. While the manufacturer states that it should be used no longer than 10 minutes, before resting for 30 minutes, we find we can get all we need sliced for a large meal, in less than 5 minutes. The motor was barely warm, and the blade only slowed down a very small amount while slicing. We feel, with some care in use and cleaning, this will last a long time. We have owned an older Krupps machine, which was very slow and never produced clean slices. If you don't need a commercial unit for your home, we can recommend this with absolute certainty you will be as pleased as we are.
