    • Hard to remove blade
The slicer overall works good. There is an adjustable knob/bolt that rests against the top of the plate where the food slides, its to keep the thickness even along the blade. Works great for thick slicing but if you want thin slices, the knob only pushes. I removed the plate, drilled a hole so the bolt can go through the plate, (its plenty long enough) and put the wing nut on the outside of the plate, comes with a wing nut to lock the bolt after adjusting. I can now get VERY thin slices without the blade rubbing. ... show more

    • Great slicer, stable, sharp and fast. Hard to clean the blade.
Got the slicer yesterday, thin sliced a smoked turkey breast today. What an excellent, fast job it did. As good as a deli. Then I wanted to clean the blade, all over. The only problem was, in order to remove the blade I first has to remove the blade cover. No sweat, right? Removed the center screw that holds the cover on, and tried to lift the cover. NO WAY! That blasted thing ain't coming off. Tried prying, shaking, turning, everything I could think of. (I know, split infinitive) Had to be satisfied with wiping and oiling the blade part that shows. NOT up to my standards. Can anybody HELP ME PLEASE. One other problem was that the thickness adjustment knob was apparently designed by Mr. wrenchfingers. Takes major effort to turn to increase slice thickness. My wife can't turn it at all. Other than the above mentioned problems, I found this slicer to be excellent for all uses, and HIGHLY recommend it. ... show more

I would of given this a 5 but, cleaning the blade is not user friendly. It is not removable, so cleaning behind it is very difficult.

It isn't to difficult to set up and disassemble. Just take your time and follow the instructions. I have a few minor adjustments to make but it made quick work of 8 lbs of lunch meat. This is belt driven motor so it's very quiet even while slicing. It doesn't move around while using it. Easy to adjust thickness. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Overall, a very nice machine. It is especially functional for slicing cooked meat and bread. In addition, cutting meats like turkey and chicken are easily accomplished, as well as cutting chunks of meats like bologna and summer sausage. I encourage you to buy the stainless steel version, and not the cheap plastic models, as there is less flex, and the steel will be more durable. Cleaning is a snap: The only complaint is that to really clean it well you have to remove the blade. Removing the blade is pretty straightforward. The machine includes an Allen wrench You just need to unscrew the blade guard and remove the blade shareholder screw. ... show more
