I can’t say enough about how clear the sound is with this stethoscope. I’ve struggled with several other brands none of which could ever compare to this one. When I’m checking my daughters heart and lungs there’s no room for error. She’s very medically complex with both heart and lung issues so it’s super important I hear everything as clearly as possible and never felt I could get quality sound from the other 5-6 kinds I’ve tried. They really did a good just with the whole acoustic setup; there’s not a sound/problem that wouldn’t be heard immediately. It has also shown to be great for checking ng tube placement by listening for air in the lower abdomen area. I found myself having to press rather hard into my daughter’s stomach to barely be able to hear the air and pressing hard on my fragile bone toddler is never ideal. Sounds like a wind tunnel when I use this stethoscope. Let’s not forget it’s also amazingly crafted and gorgeous. The tubing cleans really easy which is awesome since it’s white. One swipe of a rag with some cleaner and it comes up brand new. 10/10 highly recommend ... show more

Tube has Plastic feeling, medium to short length, regular noise cancelation. Medium sound. Kinda flexible, good for slim to average patients. Hard to use on heavy patients. Because sounds get muffled, cant peak sound over clothes. But makes the job. Cant recoment for cardio or heart auscultation other than frecuency and intensity. Light weight. Doesnt look cheap. I had seen some reviewers saying the stethoscope they received was defective and they couldn't hear a thing. I ordered anyway, and then when I got mine and took it out of the box, I couldn't hear a thing. Absolutely nothing. Tried both the diaphragm side and the bell side, dead silent. I was all set to pack it up and return it, then thought, I suppose I should at least look at the instructions, just so I can say that I did. I mean, it's a stethoscope, you put it in your ears and listen, right? How complicated could it be? It's not complicated, but there were a couple important things I missed. For one thing, I had the earpieces in the wrong way. What the instructions showed looked "backwards" to me, like they would fall out of my ears. Nope, they stay put, that's the right way to do it. But the bigger thing was that to switch between diaphragm and bell, you don't just flip how you're holding it in your hand. You have to twist the bell/diaphragm on the piece of metal it's attached to. And I had to use just enough force to make me worry a little that I might break something. I think when it arrived it was set halfway between the diaphragm and the bell, so that neither one was properly seated for listening. Which would explain why I couldn't hear a thing on either side. Once I actually followed the instructions (go figure), I tested it again and the sound is LOUD! Be careful removing the diaphragm or bell after placing them. I would suggest not removing it too quickly, and try lifting one side first rather than all at once. If I'm not paying attention, the sound can be loud enough to hurt my ears a little. I've found that the tubing and the end piece create a lot of self-noise. It's taking me some practice to find a way to hold it so the stethoscope itself doesn't create so much noise, and to distinguish the sounds the stethoscope makes from the sounds actually produced by the body. This is for my personal use, so I couldn't say if it's good for professional purposes. It's the only stethoscope I've ever owned (unless you count childhood toys), so I have nothing to compare it to. If there are other models/brands that have less noisy tubing, those might be better for healthcare workers. But as long as you follow the instructions, it works well and the sound is loud and clear. ... show more

I’m a phlebotomist so I do BPs everyday, didn’t want to spend a ton of money on one but of course I wanted good quality/ clear hearing. I can say that this does just that! Of course clearer sounds = more expensive - but I’ve had no trouble hearing the beats at all with this! Comes with the couple different covers and I love it! Def budget friendly.     • Big learning curve for me, but I got used to it

My previous stethoscope broke so I got this one as a replacement. Right away I noticed it was much quieter compared to what I was used to. A few times I couldn't hear anything at all during my assessments. I really wanted to return it but the time passed, so I just practiced with it more. Now I'm used to it and can auscultate with mostly no problems. It's not bad for the money and it's pretty easy to clean.
