We are impressed. The chair is really comfortable and reclines nicely. We were amazed at how easy it was to assemble. The chair came in 2 boxes. One box had the sides and the chair back while the other had the main center base/lift mechanism. The arms and back simply slide onto the center piece and lock into place. It took longer to unbox the chair than the assemble it. We were amazed. We bought it because my wife is undergoing chemo treatments and sometimes cannot get comfortable in bed. The chair is perfect for these times as it allows her to sleep in a comfortable position with her limbs bent. We feel that the chair is a great value for the price. We were pleased that we were able to get a great chair delivered, that we could assemble ourselves. This would have cost double from a furniture store plus we would have payed for delivery. We cannot report on the longetivity but the initial quality seems great. Lastly, we weigh 235 pounds and the chair handles it just fine. We looked at a bunch of chairs and this one looked perfect for us and that seems to be the case. Lastly, one caveat, the chair says that it is good for someone who is 5'1" to 5'9". This seems about right. We are 5'3" and 5'6" respectively and it is perfect. If you are taller than 5'9" you may need a larger chair. ... show more

UPDATE: 08/01/2022 Everything that was negative in my first post was graciously and very professionally fixed by McCombo chairs. Without me needing to ask, they sent me a replacement chair and arranged for a UPS pick up of the first chair, in its damaged box. I naturally offerd to retape the damaged box, which they wrote me back thanking me, and saying that they were very grateful for my efforts .They apologized multiple times for the damage. Their polite, friendly communications surprised me! Not many companies go to this extreme to be helpful, grateful and just nice! BRAVO McCOMBO!!! The replacement chair was delivered perfectly by UPS. It appears to me as if the first FedEx delivery might have been the cause for the extreme damage. The continutation with a different delivery serice, UPS delivery, was flawless as always! LOVE UPS! All dealings with McCombo has been very helpful and professional. Communication was always prompt, professional, and quite friendly. It was a pleasure communicating with a real live person, who went above and beyond, to make a bad situtation PERFECT! I will definately be a repeat customer as we continue to decorate our family room. McCombo proved to me how a QUALITY company respects and treats their customers. I thought this lift chair would make his life a little easier, less painful, and his birthday a little happier after his rough year. However, the box that was delivered looks like it didn't only come from the GARBAGE DUMP, but the BOTTOM of the GARBAGE DUMP!! The box is a disgusting, ripped up, piece of falling apart garbage, with pieces sticking out of it! The second box, which seems to be the backrest looks nice, but the main box containing the motor etc is all ripped and torn with pieces sticking out of it. I haven't totally opened the box yet. I'm fearful that there might be major pieces missing or damaged. I'm also worried that some critter might jump out of the box. It looks ripped, but also possibly chewed in places, with larger irregular shaped holes in the box. I would assume after spending this MUCH MONEY on a chair, that it would be delivered in good shape. How am I going to put a bow on a piece of ripped up garbage to wish my poor husband a Happy Birthday? Glad I didn't order a second chair for myself, as I had originally planned. Amazon, and the seller should be ashamed of sending out garbage to their loyal customers!!!! SHAME..SHAME...SHAME on Amazon, the seller, and also FedEx who dumped this pile of junk in our driveway without so much as ringing our bell. Our dog barked , and came and got me after hearing the FedEx truck. By the way, it had just started to rain, so without our wonderful dog alerting me of the delivery truck leaving, this mess would have been much worse, plus drenched! Glad it wasn't garbage day, or surely this pile of junk would have been mistaken for trash and hauled away to the dump, which is where it looks like it came from! The chair was shipped as described, within a couple days and in two boxes. It was easy to put together. Material and durability seems good. Like other reviews the chair is smaller than we imagined, but it's not a problem since our mom is small. (Mom is 5' 4" and 165 lbs.) Mom loves the chair and says it's very comfortable and she loves the lift feature which helps tremendously with her getting in/out of the chair with her bad knees. It's a great buy for the price but would not recommend this chair for a larger or tall person. In fact, my dad is only 5' 8" and is too tall for the chair, so we'll be buying a different, larger chair for him. ... show more

It arrived in two boxes, and was very easy to put together and use. When I came home after hospitalization, I was unable to stand from a seated position on an average chair or couch. I required a CNA to help me get up so I can go to the bathroom, etc. After this chair arrived, and was put together by my children, it lifted me to an almost standing position, so it was easy to put that weight on my feet and just walk out of the chair. The day after the chair was installed, I could stop paying for help and also was able to go to the bathroom by myself get my meals and open the door if anyone knocked.
