I happened to need a new chair AND had knee surgery. I was having trouble getting out of the old chair and the sofa, and a dining room chair, which was somewhat easier to get out of, was uncomfortable for the raised-leg resting I need for recuperation, I suffered for a few days and finally researched and chose this chair. I chose the Infinite Position (it also has heat and massage), as I could then place my leg where I needed it, not in a pre-designated position. My son brought the 3 boxes into the family room for me (1 is really heavy and in most cases might need 2 people to move it) and while I did not time him, it must have been right around 20-25 minutes to assemble - NO TOOLS NEEDED. This is such a game changer for my recuperation! It also looks good and unless you are using the lift part of the mechanism, it looks like a regular recliner and fits in beautifully in my family room. An added bonus is that when my Mother-in-law visits, she will now have a chair perfect for her visit! My kids wait patiently for me to go to bed and as soon as the lift mechanism safely and gently gets me on my feet, one of them (or my hubby) is headed for the chair! My son was discussing it with a friend who has a family member getting ready for surgery so they wanted all of the details - I had taken a pic of my order from my phone and passed it along, I would recommend this chair to ANYONE, surgery issues or not! Maybe you have a family member who visits who can benefit from the power lift, but even without needing the lift, this is a GREAT recliner! My husband is 6'3" and has always complained that his feet hang too far over the edge when he's reclined when seated in other recliners. This chair fits him perfectly both in the width and the length. His only complaint is that there's not enough padding for his but. It's a lift chair that I bought for me when I have surgery however, he likes it so much he's going to have a hard time giving it up when I need it! The chair is not ok. The padding in the back gave out immediately, I put a bed pillow behind my back to sit comfortably. The chair wobbles side to side when extended to stand up. The extended foot rest is great. The fake leather looks like plastic. The chair is very noisy unless to lean to one side and make it lopsided when it is moving. I bought this after having hip surgery. But it would have helped if I had it with either of my knee replacements. A huge help in getting up when I had the limited mobility. If you don't want to spend a lot, then this is the option. Full recline so I can sleep in it. The massage is relaxing as well. I haven't used the heat yet, but that may come. OK let buyer's know the chair ships in 3 boxes and you will not get all 3 together you get the 2 lighter boxes first and the the heavy one last. The chair is very nice.

The chair stated that it was for big and tall men. Well my husband is a big and tall man. He is 6 ft 2 in. and his feet still hang over the chair when the foot rest is up . It would be awesome if the company actually made a chair for a person who is 6 ft 2 in tall and still affordable for the average people.
