I purchased this to look inside a Mercedes Benz engine I was changing a timing chain on because I dropped a little rubber plug inside and did not want it to get caught in the oil pump or internals. I used this to find, then it fell deeper, found again, then fell again, this time I felt all the way to the oil pan. I jacked car up on one side, drained oil, still did not come out. Went up with this through oil pan found it lodged on side and finally retrieved. This is a great tool. It claims do not get liquid on camera, I got oil on it and still worked fine. This saved me a lot of apprehension to start the car before I found the rubber plug. I just used it yesterday to scope inside combustion chamber of an Acura I was changing spark plugs on. Highly recommend this for those that do this sort of work.

I bought this for a plumbing project and needed to see into the pipes. Pros: *Easy to use, it comes with a solid sturdy design with instructions that are fairly easy to follow. *Length: The scope is pretty long and goes pretty far. *Screen Size: It's a good enough size. *Light brightness: it's very bright. Cons: The scope is often aggravating to maneuver. (The camera tip will sometimes shift into a less than useful position. The screen quality isn't that great, slightly better that an old Nokia phone (it's got a low pixel count) The camera itself sometimes gets washed out by the light, making identifying what you're looking at difficult. It did the job that I needed for, but think maybe plumbing isn't this guy's strength, I need to open a wall in my house soon, and may give it a shot there.

Great value for such a handy device! Picture quality is sharp and clear. No need to add yet another app to your phone. Just turn on the power and go. It’s so easy to use! There are so many times that this would have been useful in the past. You can look under the fridge or furniture for small toys, lost jewelry or change. Assist in wiring iwithout cutting extra holes in the drywall. What’s clogging the drain? At this price, why wouldn’t you have this in your toolbox?

I was waiting to be disappointed given the price. I wasn't disappointed in the least. I like it greatly, and not simply because of the price. Its construction is solid, the image on the screen is bright and clear. The cable has the right amount rigidity when bent to the needed angle. The only negative was the screw-on right-angle mirror accessory, which came with it at no additional cost. But since the cable holds so well, I didn't care.

I had a problem of bird nest blocking bathroom vent hole and I need to know how deep the nest is inside the pipe. This served the purpose and the image was clear. I eventually pairing the discovery with using a small shop vac to clear the pipe block.

This unit has great features but lousy image quality. For a quick test, I placed a die inside a paper-towel roll, while blocking light at one end, and tried using the camera light at ALL levels compared to a regular flashlight shining down the tube. (see images). For some reason, the installed camera light overwhelms the lens, regardless of setting, with a white overlay so bad the image is barely discernable. When I tried it through an actual hole in the wall, the white overlay was so bad it made the camera useless. I returned this unit and purchased another camera from Endocamera with much better image quality at a similar price.
