I read somebody’s review about them being horribly scratchy. I remember thinking, “what are you, the Princess and the Pea?” Well, I got my sheet set. Washed them. Put them on the bed. They are an odd cotton or weave. They are clearly a solid fabric. I don’t doubt the thread count but the weave or whatever leaves them less than smooth. Scratchy? Meh…not sure I’d say that but I’ve been used to microfiber and these don’t feel like top quality. I’ve washed them so I have to keep but I will for sure go back to microfiber or buy very expensive sheets next time. Not sure I’d buy these again. Maybe, guess time will tell. **update** With wear and a few washings, these are getting softer. I pondered if it was just me adjusting but no, they seem to need some wear to soften up a bit. The wife and I really love now. Have made a believer out of us. We will be repeat buyers. Incr to 5 stars!

I bought these sheets for the color, the fabric content and the price. For Forty dollars (supposedly sixty-five percent off sale) it's fine, but I would definitely not pay anything over that price. They feel like cotton, and have a slight sheen and softer hand when you first open it, but once you wash them once, the "sateen" effect is gone, they do wrinkle out of the dryer. If you take them out while warm, and smooth out with hands, it is not too bad. They are soft, and comfortable, but there is ZERO chance these are 1000 thread count. I have 680 TC sheets from Kirkland (Costco) that are much heavier and thicker than these. However, those run about eighty dollars, where this was half that price. My best guess based on comparisons with other sheets I've purchased from reputable retailers, is that these are around 300 thread count at the most.

Our supposed top quality $200+ Hotel Collection sheet set from Macy's committed suicide after just 20 months. COME ON.....20 months and the fitted sheet virtually disintegrated. And it was always so difficult to get on our Tempur-Pedic mattress ( 11 inches high ). We have been buying our queen size sheet sets at Macy's for over 10 years. And when they usually fell apart after 2 years the Macy's staff would tell us.....that's all they last. WOW....sheet sets lasted much longer than that when I was younger. I said to my wife......no more Macy's. I jumped on Amazon and looked through what was available.....and I stopped right here and saw the 1600+ world wide reviews for this sheet set. MOSTLY GREAT REVIEWS which impressed me. So I clicked buy and they arrived within a couple of days. We took them out of the packaging and checked them out. The pillowcases were a good size...not too small and not too big. The cotton had a nice softness but felt a tad heavy. I washed the lot as per the instructions. When it came time to change our sheets I put these new ones on. The fitted sheet was not difficult to pull on to our Tempur-Pedic mattress...a very nice fit. The top sheet was not as long or as wide as the one we were replacing...not a huge negative. The pillowcases were nicely cut and fitted our fat fluffy pillows perfectly. Last night was our first time to try out these new sheets and WE THOUGHT THEY WERE GREAT ! Not flimsy and cold like our previous set, not thick and scratchy like an expensive Egyptian set we bought many years ago.....but SMOOTH AND CUDDLY. We both had a great night's sleep !

I bought these sheets for a mattress I recently purchased. The sheets are somewhat rough, but I find them comfortable, and for the most part, they feel durable. Thst said, these sheets came with a tear toward one of the corners. It's fortunate that I accidentally bought the incorrect size, as the tear can be hidden under the mattress, but this was nonetheless disappointing.
