We purchased this in 2019 and it lasted for about 7 years with (quite a bit of use over that time). The price point and ratings at the time were good, and it was made in the USA. It was easy to install and it worked as expected. It recently broke and removing it was a bit challenging because the bolts in the back had corroded a bit. This was not unexpected, but worth noting. Keep in mind the seat was not removable for cleaning, which we were aware of when purchasing. This was probably part of the reason for the corrosion of the bolts. Finally a toilet seat that really holds up to the stress of family use! It’s quite close is such an added plus! I really appreciate the easy simple but super secure installation! Looks good, Easy to install. Slow close works well. Easy to lift as edge of seat overlaps front edge of bowl a bit, and lid overlaps seat a bit. The only reason I'm returning it is the lid is flimsy - it dents in if you sit on it. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to damage it. If you get dressed in the bathroom and sit on the lid, I wouldn't recommend it. ... show more
